Any info on this different looking Hypergonar?

Hi, first post here but long time reader. I recently bought what to all intents and purposes seems to be a Hypergonar Hi-fi 2, in terms of it being the same size, weight and lens characteristics, but it looks quite different and doesn't say Hi-Fi 2 on it. It just says H. Chretien Hypergonar Cinemascope.  Anyone know the story behind it?  I've often wondered why the Hi-Fi 2 is so called. Is there a Hi-Fi 1?
