Someone1.00 releases new patch for NEX 5, hack progressing

Here it is guys. First little patch is to change the Japanese menus to English.

Good to see he is progressing well even though it is VERY early days in the project yet. Remember how long it took the GH1 hack to mature, and be patient!

this is indeed big news. it fortifies the fact that with a single camera from a particular generation it is possible for Someone1.00 to create working patches based on the information he can withdraw from the model he has in his hand at the time. It also shows he can modify specific details of the operating system. I'm guessing this type of change is about 100x deeper and more complex than the initial firmware name change from a few weeks ago?

@Someone1.00, Based on what you have done to achieve this, would it be the same depth of working process to make modifications such as an increase to the total long exposure time from 30secs to 5 mins for example? I think a mod like this would really start to capture the excitement from the masses... I guess this would be significantly less complex than making changes to the video codec/bitrate, but is still a very physical and groundbreaking change that long exposure 'night photographers' would welcome.
