My cameras and kit

 1. Just trying to see if anyone has their eye on any gear that's yet to be released or is brand new! I'm sure we're all gear nerds in here.
 2. http://blogs.zeiss.com/photo/en/?p=2860 For those with money to burn (or the rental houses), new high-end Zeiss primes for Canon and Nikon. These resemble the Hasselblad medium-format lenses in size and construction. Pretty spectacular things!
 3. I have one question that has been creeping out since the announcement of the m4/s mount. Originaly I have planned to use my set of Samyang lenses (8, 24, 35) and Tokina 11-16, all EF mount as the main lenses for the BMC. Now with the announcment of m4/3 all world of lenses that I have used on GH2 opens up, including my absolute favorite LOMO OCT 18 mount russian lenses, however my dilemma is, if I opt to get m4/3 camera would I see any difference on my EF lenses (as opposed to going with the original mount for BMC) as well as how to change the aperture on my Tokina (as that would have to still be my main lens for BMC)? Would it be better to just go for ZE/EF or for m4/3 in my situation? Thanks a lot!
 4. Hi, I want to buy new 50mm fast prime. I will be using the lens on my gh2 and on BlackMagic cinema camera for now. I m debating between the these two: 1. Customized pro full-frame film lens cinematics Pentax PHN50/1.7 PK - for $500 2. Canon EF 50mm f1.4 - for $400 Would anybody have any suggestion on which lens should I buy. Thank you very much for your insights and your time. Cheers!
 5. Does anyone know a good site that rates/reviews/values/has information on a wide variety of vintage lenses? Sort of like DPREVIEW.com but for older lenses? I've accumulated a few old lenses from digging around at my parents place, craigslist, and ebay, and am trying to figure out what to keep and what to ditch. I probably don't need all of these, but want to keep the best ones. Here's what I've got if anyone has any tips: vivitar 24mm f2.8 Pentax SMC Takumar 35mm f3.5 Canon Super-Canomatic 35mm f2.5 Canon FD 50mm 1.4 Nikon Nikkor 50mm f2 Helios 44m-4 58mm f2 Jupiter 9 85mm f2 Pentax SMC Takumar 150mm f4 Olympus Zuiko PEN-F 50-90mm auto-zoom f3.5 Thanks! 6. [background=rgb(255, 255, 255)]Somewhere between ditching my Canon 7D and now (shooting primarily video with my GH2), I have bitten off more than I can chew. I have acquired more than twenty lenses, many of which I rarely or never use. With this much glass, I do not feel like I know and love my kit like I used to, so I have decided to pare things down to include only the lenses that I am most excited about. Some considerations:[/background]

I prefer the character of older lenses.
I shoot a lot of anamorphic footage these days, so I don't want any lenses that have barrels that rotate when focusing or that have large-diameter front elements. 55mm is about as big of filter size as I want to deal with. Also, it may be a petty consideration but having a standard 52mm filter size across as many lenses as possible is appealing to me from a convenience standpoint.
Though I'd like to have a go-to, image-stabilized lens in my kit (I'm looking at you, 12-35mm Lumix X), I want to wait until the GH3 specs are announced -- it's a stretch, but in-body stabilization could void the need for this.
I am trying to think about the future. I want lenses that I can take to another camera system should the situation arise.
Here is what I am thinking about keeping:

12mm SLR Magic f1.6 -- Mostly for steadicam work.
25mm Voigtlander Nokton f0.95 -- Good all-round low-light lens.
40mm Konica AR f1.8 -- Sharp, compact, and works well with my anamorphic lenses.
55mm Nikkor Micro AI-S f2.8 -- Mostly used for product photography.
58mm Helios 44 f2 -- Interesting bokeh, is a perfect fit for one of my anamorphics.
85mm Nikkor Non-AI-S f1.8 -- Fast, and a great focal length for interviews.
100mm-300mm Lumix f4-5.6 -- For wildlife shooting.
I think that this represents a good range with little redundancy. But there are some shooters with a lot more experience than I have on these boards and I'd be curious to hear what you think, or what you have in your lens bag.
 7. Hi all, First of all thanks for taking your time to read my post. Here is my situation I have hacked GH2 that I use for shooting short narrative films and I also intended to shoot a feature on it. Now with the appearance of the Black Magic Cinema camera I m considering selling my GH2 and buying the BM camera, however I really love what I get from my liitle GH2. Now first question is would this be a smart decission, or should I keep shooting on my GH2. In case that my finances improve drastically I m considering buying a BM camera without selling my GH2, which leads to my second question - would I be ablr to shoot with these 2 cameras a serious narrative film in a 2 camera set-up situation? If yes, than that is something to seriously think about. And my last question is would I be able to use my LOMO OKC 18 lenses and my Carl Zeiss 85mm 1.4 on BM camera, and if yes what kind of adapter would I need? I simply love these lenses and practically shoot 99% of my stuff with them (I still need to save up for 14 mm and 35mm Semyang as I m having problems with focus pulling on some shots with my LOMO's). Anyway, thanks a lot on your responses. I m looking forward to hear some suggestions. Cheers!
