  1. First outing with the camera. handheld with a 24-105. Loved the camera. I need to adjust a couple things but for the most part a near perfect camera for me. It was extremely dark with the forest canopy. I'll try the Sigma 18-35 next. -Dave
  2. Thank you for sharing and the quality of that video is incredible. I feel very confident in swapping the mount. I used to do tiny work with screws, electrical, etc. I may just start with my 24 & 35. I just tried my generic booster for the FD - M43 mount and works as it should. My 35 is the same in the video for the dream set ( go figure ) and I personally like the tiny size of the 24 2.8 over the f2. I am blown away with the IQ of this camera. I hope to use it next week on a project I am just starting. Again thanks guys! -Dave
  3. Received the camera and already blown away with it. The rig I currently have will work much better with the hard hiking, fishing scenarios I will put it through. Being able to have this small rig and my Sony for stills takes a huge amount of weight off. I am going to convert my FD lens to EF mount so I can leave the Metabones that was included on there. I have really enjoyed what I have seen with the Leica R lens and may start saving my pennies for a small set. Converting them to EF mount as well. Even better news the Metabones works MUCH better with my Sigma 17-50 and the IS when needed. I picked up two of these memory cards. One works with RAW 3:1 60 but one only works up to 50. I bought them here. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YGYCR3V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 Big thanks to everyone that helped.
  4. I am also wanting to use a couple Minolta lens on this. Does anyone have experience with the following speed booster? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1218400-REG/mitakon_zhongyi_mtkltm2mdm43_minolta_md_lens_to.html/reviews I can use a standard adapter but would like the extra stop and view. -Dave
  5. Thanks to everyone that helped me out. Picked up a BMMCC from @crevice and really looking forward to using it! I’ll report back here with video. -Dave
  6. Again thanks for the input. I love the 4k but again rigging it out for outdoor use paired with hiking is brutal. I could run without a Vmount but the battery is horrid as you know. I picked up the HDMI, expansion port, rosette mount from Shijans. I was planning on using my FD speed booster with micro and 17,24,35,50 with it. It would be nice to have a remote for other lens down the road. Storage as well is a big thing for me. Some personal projects taking up ungodly amounts of room on the 4K. Lastly I am going to use the micro in a custom underwater housing I a building. For the time being I will use a Outex housing with a Laiwa 7.5mm. Some examples of photography that I am aiming for with the micro. Untitled by Dave Fason, on Flickr BelizeLow-135 by Dave Fason, on Flickr -Dave
  7. I picked up a couple Canvas Select Plus after reading the BM forums. I'd be happy with 48-50P in raw when needed. PM sent and thanks for replying! -Dave
  8. Thanks for taking the time to answer. I have a handful of older Sandisk cards that could work. I don't want 60 frame much BUT would love to have the option here and there. The new HDR assist could be a better option down for long term use using USB drives. I use that and CF cards on my 4K. Thank you again. -Dave
  9. I am lurking for a used micro but wanted to ask a few questions. With the SD card issue did anyone find something that works now? Currently August 2020? If I buy a BM recorder, could I record to it instead of the SD card? Thanks in advance! If anyone knows someone selling, I would love to buy! -Dave
