I know it can be a lot of work to match different sensor or even sensor size but it's doable to a point where the general public doesn't see any difference. I've been matching different cam since dvx100 and gl2 with raw timelapse from dslr, gopro and such.
That would represent a lot of work to match 3 differents kinda log / sensor size 1080p60 including the gopro 3+ Protune for drone work. Once the sauce done though... Great small and efficient kit.
A6500 would be a much more casual b-cam choice for most but isnt very exciting as a challenge + i don't want to fall into the slowmo trap.
Then next summer ad up a sony f3

Same here!
kai on youtube drop a video recently on it. It seems like a good all around. And I know to that a EF-m to EF speedbooster is physically possible !
For me the bluetooth / wifi connection with IOS device and the 5axis would be amazing.
I'm tottaly aware that both color science are quite polarized but I don't see why I wouldnt be able to match my a7s with a lot of settings tweaks
Or even tweak the m5 to a cooler balance with a modified version of "c-log"

That was some impressive lingo!
Don't apologise, was just having a laugh. You know your stuff, school did you well...
The school I went for was definitely a great investment - So many different kind of projects in 3 years and so many type of jobs...we would touch pretty much every aspect of it.
We went from the smallest production of 1-2 per crew to massive setup in a delivery truck full of road cases that we would set up 30 students together and switch job regularly.
Operating a 60 foot long jib in a theater was probably the most stressfull one and cueing 6 cameras/topo/overlays for a live hockey game was such a rush - no time to piss / blink or any sort of distraction - the show MUST go on !
That cinealta combine with 444 sr recorder for green screen work or those 9 Flame station .... Such expensive tool in the hand of 20 years old kids --- keep calm every body ----

Avid is probably the fastest way to edit anything out there.
I think It's closely related to their past life where it used to be the main editing platform (and probably still is...) for news and broadcast.
I remember my time in school, using it for Telejournal exercise (30min / 1h - live studio broadcast). We would start the TJ without anything ready for capsule and non-live insert.
The main guy on cam would receive live people in the first 5-8min then insert clips slowly once output was ready for playback and keep mixing with some live interview, sometimes buying times for the editors when they weren't on the balls.
The goal was to start from scratch few minutes before TJ with 10-15min of rush and output 2-3min live after a few minutes in the TJ - great rush of emotion it was to edit those clip and you become so quick on shortcuts

I like the short film on cinema5d.com for the review of the a6500
Great production quality overall

Yep - DPAF is definitely the main selling point for me regarding vlogging.
That combine with touchscreen autofocus and iphone monitoring/focus puller. Will be able to strap it barely anywhere and get the shot I want
Soft is good, I have the a7s and a shogun if I need sharp 4k footage anyway
I will probably get it with the 28mm macro first
Everything is possible - might not be a piece of cake but it's possible.
Like i've said, I don't need 100% match either
