Canon 1D C is $7999. Just to recap - that's cheaper than the C300, it's a DSLR and it shoots 4K.
If you think expensive camera = job security, you're wrong!
Talent, knowhow and effective commercialisation of both = job security.

Yeah that's why I'm still filming on mini-dv. No point to upgrade if something better is just going to be released eventually.
