  1. So I would have to buy full manual lenses right? Which one would you buy? The Mitakon Canon EF lens to MFT or the Nikon one?
  2. I would like to have the sensor size of the A6000, but i prefer the colors of the Gx7. So I think I will go with the Gx7 and buy a Metabones speedbooster, problem is that it is to expensive so I think I would go for the cheaper version : Mitakon. I still don't know what version of it I will buy or even what lens. So what do you guys think? Is it a good or bad idea? Should I wait and save for a Metabones speedbooster?
  3. Don't worry Matt, thank you for your feedback, it's been very helpful having many points of views about the strengths and weaknesses about this cameras. I must admit that the only thing holding me back from buying a Gx7 or a G6 is the sensor size (probably also the form factor of the Gx7 as well) I just love being able to have a shallow depth of field and the a6000 gives me that right out of the box, and I think the combo GX7 plus a fast lens (panasonic 20mm f1.7) is more expensive than the A6000 and a fast lens. ( I am still looking for a good combo). Anyway your feedback has been very helpful to me. ;)
  4. I saw that you also use the G6, how does it compare in terms if video quality to the A6000? Is it your main camera?
  5. Thank you so much for your answers! I am interested to know how the Sony RX10 and the Panasonic FZ1000 compares in terms of video quality to the Gx7 for example. So far the videos I've watched don't look very good but I know it might be because of the compression. If they are not as good as the Gx7, I think I'll go with it. One thing I would like to have is a hdmi out to have a external monitor, but I can live without it I guess.
  6. Thank you for your answers! Ok, I think I got it, I'am going to go with the Gx7, now I need to think of a lens that will be fast enough, because I won't buy a speedbooster any time soon. What would you get?
  7. Is the G6 the same sensor as the GH4, without the 4K of course? What is the difference between the G6 and the GX7? Panasonic LX100 is a very interesting option but it is a fixed lens and I don't think the camera is even out yet, is it?
  8. I've been struggling to find a camera and lenses to buy, as you might see in some of my other posts. I'am not an newbie because I've been using dslr cameras for a while now but never owned my own camera, so i have been looking to all the options I have, but I still can't make a decision. I really want the best thing possible, I know I shouldn't be too picky and I should just buy any camera and start shooting with it. So I turn to you, who will have a more logical and rational answer to my question. If you had around a 1000$ what would you buy? (Camera and lens) Thank you
  9. What do you recommend? It would be great to have fast lenses, I don't know yet if I am going to buy a speedbooster because they are quite expensive. For the budget, the less the better. Please also consider that I live in France and buying vintages lenses is not as easy as in the United Sates. Thanks
  10. Thank you all for your feedback ;) I am planning on buying the camera later this year so I still have time to think about it a little bit more.
  11. Very nice footage and very nice grade :) Did you use some kind of LUT?
  12. I really don't know what to buy :( The only image I really like from a camera is the one from the bmpcc, but it's a bit out of my price range as I would need a speedbooster and maybe some Nikon AI-S lenses, and also to think of a battery solution... I would jump eyes closed on the sony a6000 if it had the new XAVC-S codec. I really like the fact of having an APS-C sensor, which makes me go more towards this camera instead of a panasonic one. But then again this is the real world, I can't have all I want so I'll have to deal with it...
  13. Hi I would like to ask one more question, is this a good moment to buy a camera or are there some rumors about a new "cheap" camera with great video coming down the line? Because I don't want to be the guy who buys a camera and one month later the savior of cameras comes out... PS : What lens would you recommend for the a6000 under 500$ (prime or zoom)
  14. Yes, I am considering buying the bmpcc with canon EF to bmpcc active Metabones Speed Booster to get as close as I can to APS-C, even if I have to pay more. So far the image out of the bmpcc is the one I like the most. Would you know if Black Magic are preparing a new pocket cinema camera? Are there any rumors? Thanks.
  15. Julian I don't have any lens right now, and yes there is a separate budget for them. Thank you for your answers, well I am going to have a deeper look on the A6000 (I hope that sony is going to implement xavc-s) and the GX7, I also want to see what the lx100 can deliver. I just saw the video from the Nikon D750, and the colors look so lovely, too bad it's way out my price range. I was really hoping to see more exciting stuff at Photokina specially from Canon...
  16. Hi I would like to know what are the options out there in that price range (I don't really mind paying a little bit more if it is worth it) I am open to all manufacturers I don't have a special preference. What would you recommend? And why? I would mostly use it for short films. The things I care the most are dynamic range and color space, also having a (APS-C) sensor would be great even though I don't really mind having a MFT sensor but something smaller than that might be problematic. Thank you for your answers :)
  17. Same here I would buy it right now, I really hope they are going to put to the a6000 with an update like with the rx10 and not wait until their next camera
  18. Check out this review by cinema 5D, what do you think about the footage? http://***URL not allowed***/exclusivesony-a5100-video-review-footage/
  19. If I was you I would wait for the new cameras announcement during Photokina in September, there should be some pretty good stuff. But otherwise I would go for the Sony a6000 without regret.
  20. J'ai beaucoup aimé, c'est du très bon boulot, surtout si on considère que tu as quasiment tout fait toi-même, bravo! J'espère en voir plus par la suite ;)
  21. Yep you are right, I still believe film is the best thing out there to shoot a movie, and I hope it's still going to survive the digital era, because film is how cinema was born!
  22. Yep, actually that rolling shutter is the only that it's making me hesitate between the GH4 and the sony A7s, and now with the canon price drop I think I should be patient and wait to see what they are going to do. Well right now I guess I am just going to wait and see...
