  1. EVF technology is not at the OVF level just yet. It is pretty close though, and cameras such as E-M1,X-T1, A7/r help remove some of the company-level unwillingness to invest in EVF technology. Also global electronic shutters should become the mainstream once the snr reaches the acceptable levels for photography. Maybe ultra fast sensor readout will be an alternative.
  2. You don't have to go in the menus to change the WB temp. You just push the WB button and rotate the front dial to adjust the temperature. The LCD always shows the effect.
  3. D800 produces adequate video for my needs. Yes I would welcome better quality but shooting with the BMPCC was a pain in the ass and I agree with maxotics that it takes the creativity away. Andrew pushed me to the EM1, which eventhough it has a weak codec with its IBIS allows for amazing shoots. I can now move the camera! For camera-static shots D800 with the patch is still much better. I only wish either Olympus gives a firmware update with improved rates and focus peaking in video or somebody hacks this camera. Because em1 can be the next GH2/5DmkII.
  4. Until now it looks quite good. I don't know if I can part with em1 image stabilization.. Andrew do you know if lens stabilization will be good enough?
  5. If it has the same slow rolling shutter as ax100, it will be useless for anything with motion.
  6. I am very excited about this. It really depends on the implementation of the 4k, but I also tried an em1 and I couldn't believe how useful the sensor stabilization is. Choices...
