It's not multi aspect. That just means the cropfactor is actually 2x instead of 1,86x for the GH2 in 16:9 (movie mode). Doesn't make it any more or less suitable for anamorphic use. Maybe you can get away on the GH3 with lenses that would vignette a little bit on the GH2.
Overall every lens you use now on the GH2 will be a bit less wide on the GH3. Anamorphic or not.

Thanks Julian. So - if I get you correct - The gh3 sensor size is 4:3 which according to Andrew should be great for anamorphic(see quote below)
"When a 2x anamorphic lens is used you get a more reasonable image from 4:3 and not the very wide 3.55:1 you’d otherwise get from 16:9." _Andrew Reid http://www.eoshd.com/content/3515/2-661-for-2x-anamorphic-on-gh2-rebooted
Now, I know the gh2 needed a hack to be able to shoot 4:3. Since the gh3 has a 4:3 sensor, does this mean it should be able to shoot in this mode without 'the trouble' of a hack? Sorry to ask too many questions but this is a major determining factor as to whether I'll get this camera or not.
