1. I partially agreed with the above. Although, the article is still a valuable contribution to this community, I think the title is misleading. It should be EOSHD's Top 5 DSLR Cameras of the Year 2014. The world of filmmaking is expanding so fast these days that to keep orienting the reader in only one direction, specially when summarizing a year of the best can become a misleading information.
2. Andrew, Thanks for the response. Indeed, It is very helpful to know that both cameras can use the same set up, which is a surprise due to the differences lens mounts each one uses.
3. ipcmrl,  I use the GH2 too. If possible, which anamorphic adapter have you used with this camera? Thanks in advance.
4. As always, Andrew, It's very well done. Congratulations in your achievement. Is this anamorphic set up for the BMCC EF or the MTF?
5.   I have been using the GH2 for about 5 years with satisfaction in this camera price range. I expect a tremendous difference between the GH2 and BMPC. It's about codec differences:  H.264 (MTS) vs ProRess HQ:  In detail, it's about bit-depth, latitude and color space differences between the two codec.
6. Let's not forget that we all have seen better graded sample footage from the BMPC before this ones. In addition, let's not forget other John Brawley's contributions in this process.   https://vimeo.com/67562461 https://vimeo.com/66955436 And more recently: Auckland In My Pocket - Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera https://vimeo.com/70676876
7. Andrew, thanks for the update. Have you tested the HDMI monitor output at 720p, which in the GH2 up to today hasn't been fixed regardless of what patch is used? As soon as a monitor gets connected in the GH2 the Record Mode turns into 1080. I'm hoping the GH3 will get this right.
8. TitleExchange for Mac will do what you are asking for. I don't know if they have a Windows version.
9. My grandma used to say: "The food enters first though the eyes" She was right. This design is like a sticky divorce, it doesn't match the modern design of the camera.
10. Awesome footage, some of the best footage of BMCC at the moment. https://vimeo.com/49199056
11. EOSHD BMCC Shooter's Guide? Andrew Reid, I'm waiting for your EOSHD BMCC Shooter's Guide, as you did with the Panasonic GH2. That will reduce the learning time curve of a lot us, newbies to raw workflow.
12. A zoom lens that features constant aperture means that it doesn't change the initial aperture setting when zooms in or out, like the Lumix 14-140 and the Tokina 11-16mm do, which in video becomes a nightmare in post during color grading.
13. Thanks Sara. That is what I thought. At least it is in the agenda for the writers.
14. It is probably very premature to be sure about the type of editing workflows the Blackmagic Cinema will require, from log and transfer to the necessary equipment to have, specially the workflow around Thunderbolt for RAW files on desktop Mac computer alternative. An article about this would be very helpful from the point of view of budgeting.
