  1. Hey Andrew, when you review the a6300 eventually, could you check if it still has that warning every time you turn the camera on if you switch it to NTSC please? That thing is really annoying and it's on every sony camera..... Doubly so if you're PAL region wanting 24p or 120 fps.

Thanks I hope they get rid of that pesky PAL/NTSC mode warning that shows up everytime you turn on the camera if you switch it to another region. Apparently you have to switch it to NTSC if you want 24p on PAL cameras.

Btw, have sony said anything if this camera is PAL/NTSC Selectable? I'm looking at some videos online and it seems there's no 24p mode on the PAL version. Furthermore: I wonder if it will still alert you about the region selection every time you turn it on if you switch it from the default region...?
  4. So, after reading the blog post, I decided to get myself a V1 on eBay last week. Today, I messaged them and was told that they haven't shipped my order yet because Nikon recalled all their stock due to some memory card issues. I haven't heard of this issue mentioned anywhere so I thought prospective buyers here would like to know. Attached is the message they sent me. For some reason the attachment wouldn't upload. So here it is on imgur http://i.imgur.com/WyW3ysg.png
  5. Well, I'm looking at the V1 specs at nikon, and I see that in movie mode, it shoots 3,840 x 2,160 (1080/60i) so... this thing shoots 4K?!
  6. Just because I already own one. Been using it for years since it came out, and are quite satisfied with it. Just thought that because they promised an APS-C anti-moire filter, I wonder if they'd fulfill their promise. Ah, well. I don't see the point in sidegrading to a 5DMkII other than the full frame. Still had to deal with softness/jello/moire. Thought of upgrading to 5DMkIII, but the benefits for video seems minimal. I'd rather get a GH2, but I'd have to get some panasonic lenses (mostly kit lenses, but eh) and a metabones adapter for the canon glasses I have, but that adapter costs almost as much as a GH2, plus import tax. NEX7 is just as bad for video, if not worse due to the codec. I don't use my camera professionally anyway. Looking forward to the 650D with the rumored AF during video, but canon would probably screw it up anyway, like they did with the 5DMkIII.
  7. I'm still waiting for the anti-moire filter for the 7D and the rest of APS-C they promised a long time ago.
