Alain Compost

I used a RED Helium 8K recently to film shy animals like the Javan Rhinoceros, a very rare and sensitive animal. It was a disaster as the camera was so noisy ( the fan like a hair dryer ! ) that I could only film a few seconds before the animal rushed away ! Beside the noise, it takes 30 seconds for the camera to be ready so I had to be on stand by all the time, draining all my batteries ..... I really hope that Z cameras have addressed all these problems, especially for documentary film makers ....
