  1. I've been looking at the Crane 2's follow focus motor, and I can't see why I can't use it with the XT3? Surely I can wrap the track cable round either the focus or zoom ring on the lens, and position the motor to drive it? Unless the motor can't be positioned like this because of the design of the XT3 (or I'm misunderstanding you). Bottom line is that I'm trying to ascertain if the Crane 2 follow focus motor will work with the XT3. Desk
  2. Hi, Thanks for this. I'll take that support non-native, as an add-on, but is this only on the Lab? The motors wouldn't work with the Crane 2? Desk
  3. Does anyone know if there's a gimbal which allows follow focus and zoom control support for the XT3? Desk
  4. EDIT: fixed my problem. Had moved the wheel round to multiple exposure setting. I have to say, first day with this camera and I'm blown away. The image quality is phenomenal! Desk
  5. A hopefully stupid question here, but I take it that I can use a Rode VideoMic Pro Plus with an X-T3? Does the X-T3 have plug-in power to support this? Desk
  6. I need to invest in a new camera ecosystem for work, and like the OP am torn between a GH5 or an XT3 as a starting point. I'll be using the camera to take promotional stills as well as create videos, upgrading from a Canon 650D which I inherited. However, I'm also looking at the camera being able to both record and live stream events and committee meetings, some running two to three hours in length. Could I use an Atomos Ninja to extend the XT3 beyond the 30 minute recording limitation? Would that also get round the problem with the XT3 cutting out at about 1hr20 due to overheating when recording 4K? Can I connect a continuous power source so as to record past the 45 minute battery life? During committees, will I be able to use the app to control the camera and record in anything beyond 720p? The GH5 may look like the better option, but I do like the XT3's superior AF and the fact that video footage looks so good straight out of camera without the need for a lot of work in post. Desk
