  1. Hi there, I am creating this topic because I am having some difficulties in exposing landscapes with V-LOG on my GH5, I do know how to expose skin tones, it's between 42 for really caucasian skins and 55 for really white skins, I use 18% middle grey at 42IRE to expose skin and white at 61IRE... but let's talk about landscapes... I don't really know how to proceed, how should I analyze my scene and then... correctly expose it... I never saw any tutorials about that, I've only seen tutorials for exposing your skin... Some people say, keep important object above 30 and do not pass 75IRE or 80IRE to avoid clipping highlights, and some say... 20IRE to 80IRE, I am a bit lost, It's really confusing... need help, thanks.
  2. Hi, I would like to know what waveform settings are the best for V-LOG? between 10 and 70 for skin tones, or 20 and 80?
  3. ok, did not have any rain... my lens is not water sealed, this is why I am worried. But did not use my lens a lot, so everything should be fine, lens and sensor
  4. Lol, I bought my camera a few days ago, I don't have any water damages... I went outside 1 time, so I don't think it's because of this XD
  5. ok... maybe an issue from my lens because it is not weather sealed and had condensation...
  6. yes, let me send you this, @thebrothersthre3 There you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ey2FpBkxNmY as you can see, auto-focus is jittering
  7. Hi guys, since I went outside during cold weather, my focus is lagging a lot, do you think actually because of my settings? I put +3 for sensitivity and +3 for speed
  8. do you speak about colors or the small dot? I haven't taken sun pictures... it looks like a spot to me, not sun damage oh, the colors, it's because my room lights, not from sensor XD
  9. tell me what you think is from... is it from the moisture?
  10. so, is my sensor ok? didn't detach the lens when I did the transition and waited few hours for the temperature be stable, I guess it's perfect?
  11. Ok, thanks a lot for the suggestion, I won't expose V-LOG too much, it's very white. Here are some photos I did yesterday, after warm to cold transition: https://unsplash.com/photos/7a2wg7vAqi8 https://unsplash.com/photos/BS_9A8IKlQ4 Tell me what you think
  12. I will do another test wait (I'm using 1.7 lens) @webrunner5 here is a pic at ISO 800
  13. Noises are normal? I guess because on every panasonic devices I had, I always had noises The V-LOG was just a test
  14. @kye Provided some photos and videos I did, tell me if you see something wrong, please... There is one picture where I zoomed and two others zoomed in AE. The outside picture, was filmed with V-LOG, I did expose a little bit too much... shot with V-LOG 4K 10BIT: zoomed in AE, PIXELS ARE NORMAL.
  15. @kye the image looks normal, nothing to mention... Anyway, the sensor is not glass so does not make any moisture, I have a bag now, so I can do the transition safely. my lens got some moisture but I cleaned it, no physical issues I guess, what is the risk of having a lens that had moisture?
  16. Ok, thanks @kye As I mentioned, I did not remove the lens from the body when I did the very fast transition, I waited around 1 hour hours for a stable temp, is the sensor affected?
  17. I have a question about GH5 and weather. I experienced moisture on my lens when removing the lens cap from outside to home because of condensation to clarify, I went from home to outside with the lens on the body and went back home with lens still on the body, the only issue is that I removed lens cap when coming back home... and had moisture on the glass... I waited for the camera body temperature to be stable, then, after 1 hour, I removed the lens off the body and put the sensor cap, what about the lens? Is it damaged? what about the sensor? For the sensor, I am a bit worried, it was 0 degrees outside and went to my home with over 27 degrees, I did not expose the body sensor to air, or I hope air did not enter through the lens... Can sensor experience issues? Thanks.
  18. Ok, thanks a lot, I will keep using CINE-V and CINE-D for 4k 8bit 60fps. I'll use V-LOG 10bit for films, which looks amazing in C4K and 6k anamorphic
  19. Ok but is there difference between both colour profile in 8 bit ? V log and cine-d ? Will some image look better with one of these colour profile?
  20. Hi there, I am a GH5 user and I would like to know if using V-LOG with 4k 8 bit will decrease my quality than using actual gh5 colour profile like (cine-d and cine-v) What is the best to use in 4k 8 bit ? Vlog or other panasonic profiles? Is there differences? Thanks
  21. Ok, so that's mean, those new 2017 sensors, won't have this problem? FOR EXAMPLE: GH5
  22. Hi there, I'm creating this topic as I encountered an important glitch with premiere pro, reading 4k footage from my GH5. I can see those red and blue lines in premiere pro when playing my video, but I don't see this is after effect.... really strange, of course, it does not come from any camera issue, the original video is not like this... Premiere pro so bad...
