  1. There is no such thing as "ISCO MINI 2X ANAMORPHIC". It sounds similar to the way that certain ebay seller is calling lots of his lens. Probably it's just an ultra-star, overpriced as hell. Double-focus for sure. is the lens golden? Does it have red gears attached?
  2. The front element seems to be flat. Does it mean they use rectilux/iscorama/rangefinder/fmlens approach with variable diopters?
  3. Because of the price tag? I am also looking at soviet OKS glass now, seems pretty cheap.
  4. So I'm looking to get a cheap spherical T2 (or around that) set for the PL ursa mini pro, to use them with the anamorphic adaptor. My budget is $1.5k for the whole set, so around $500 per piece. Here's my checklist: 1. T2-T3 2. 40, 60 and 80 focals available. 3. Same barrel size for all three 4. Same focus throw for all three 5. Same MFD for all three 6. As less character as possible 7. As much sharpness as possible 8. Cover S35 9. Cheap (looking for a bang-for-the-buck kind of deals, not the best in class) 10. PL or adaptable to PL mount. Cine gears is not a must. Any ideas where to start looking?
  5. Are you coming from usability point of view? Coz people here state that kowa c35 with hardcore is even sharper then the iscorama. And can focus closer.
  6. Oh my gosh! That's a ridiculously awesome collection. What I actually meant was to see the images shot through the bolex and c35, to compare the IQ and character they deliver, but again, it's so much to ask. Between c35, inflight and bolex, which one would you keep? Thank you!
  7. I think if ISCO did not have the wider angle capabilities, I would just go for a C35, simply because it's cheapest of all. I think I saw someone using B&H with a 40mm pancake too. @Hans Punk does your inflight allow to use wider lens then the B&H? There's a chance the C35 will also do, and in this case I have a winner. @Ian Edward Weir Thank you.
  8. I know it's so much to ask, but can you make a couple side by side images? I'll owe you so much.
  9. I think I'm finally ready to spend big bucks, just not sure what to spend them on.
  10. I saw a lad posting on facebook, that he's using a 40mm pancake lens on a full frame camera with Kowa B&H. That's pretty sweet if you ask me. If money were no issue, what scope (1.5-2x stretch, 1.33 seems pretty pointless to me) could one buy, to be able to go the widest on full frame (get the widest FOV after 2.4:1 crop)? I own sony A7S, and there's a lot of 35-45-50mm glass I'd love to use with scopes. Iscoramas? Kowa B&H? Inflight? Bolex?
  11. As I'm having an anamorphic craze again, and am about to spend some good money and buy some anamorphic glass, I want to make sure that I will be able to do more then test/weekend videos with it. When you look up any anamorphic attachment lens or setup, all you find are home videos or people shooting random stuff around the city. Are there any examples of real use of such setups? Like shorts or music videos that have storyline (or just cinematic looking in general)? I'm looking at iscoramas and Kowa BH + core DNA setups mostly, with BM production cameras or ursa mini setups (anything that is not a GH or a pocket, basically), and I cannot find any examples at all. Is anyone willing to share their own or other's work that is not a home video?
