  1. Hi Jonpais, i also noticed this, so I did a comparison in photo mode using a 25mm prime from panasonic. First I took a shot in 4:3 mode en the exif says 25mm is 50mm in the 35mm equivalent then I took a shot in 16:9 mode and now the exif says 25mm is 54mm in the 35mm equivalent this is the same crop as in movie mode. So this confirms tweaks answer and is not a bug. Regards, Jan
  2. Yes the 18-55 lens has to be updated, I also run into this problem when I bought the X-T2 kit, It is not something you expect when buying a brand new camera. But after updating the lens, ois is very close to the ibis of my GX85. I absolutely recommand buying the kit, this lens is definitely worth the 300 Euro/Dollar when you buy it in the kit. For a flat setting you can probably best use negative standard with al the other settings dialled down to the lowest value. In the Q menu you can save up to seven different camera profiles. I picked up a X-T2 kit just for our holiday to Kos (Greece) and started shooting there figuring out the settings on the way. After some days I choose Astia low which worked best for me under these high contrast circumstances. I put together some footage I shot on Kos, nothing spectacular all handhold, mainly shot with the kit lens and the 50-230 f4.5-6.7, which I bought for 180 Euro. Greets Jan

  4. Thanks sgreszcz, its a very nice place to spent a holiday, the night shots I made with the Olympus 45mm f1.8 (1:57-2:17), Olympus 17mm f1.8 (3:06)(3:45-3:58), Panasonic 20mm f1.7 (3:12-3:20)(3:32) Voightlander 25mm f0.95 (3:23-3:30)(3:36), al shots handhold, ibis rules. It might look like a suitcase full of lenses, but the native M4/3 lenses are so small and light they al fit in a very small bag.
  5. Hallo all, I had a holiday in Greece, and right before I left I could pic up a GX80 in my camera store. I really like the small form factor for travelling. That's al so the reason why I use mainly 4/3 lenses with it. So for my kind of use its a great little camera. In the link is a little piece I made with it, no colour grading are post stabilisation.
