  1. sorry i have been so busy with YT i havent had time to check the forums... I will upload some footage to DB for you guys...but if you could do me a favor and pre order the camera using our affiliate link that would be amazing! https://click.dji.com/AA6yMeWjUiNhOEQs4Pha5A?pm=link Cinelike will be available. DJI reached out to me and told me that there is going to be NEW firmware even newer than what I have that they are going to give me to address some of the concerns I had in our Q&A video. SOOOOOOO....just hold all judgment until that video goes live. Codec is H.264 and you have the option of .mp4 or .mov. 100mbps is the "very fine" mode. Its ok....as good as you would think lol. Like a Mavic 1 Pro or something.
  2. totally. you can buy the weird water proof case!
  3. No unfortunately they aren't giving you the settings you're used to with the Mavic. You only have two options for picture profiles. Normal, and D-Cinelike
  4. Great question...I am thinking of getting one of those USB-C to 3.5mm and USB ports that enable you to use the headphone jack AND still charge it. Would be an interesting test....however, two hours of battery life is pretty dang good and haven't ever had a problem with it dying on us on a shoot. Yes I can share some footage. If more people want to see it I can do a dropbox link
  5. Honestly, I have been really surprised with it. I really like the Osmo Pocket. It think we will be using it a lot on our channel! Let me know if you have any questions...respond to this post and ill try to answer them all....
  6. The DJI Osmo Pocket has been a serious surprise to me. At first glance, this thing really looks like a consumer product…but honestly, it shares the image quality we have come to know and love of the higher end Mavic Pro’s! The field of view is just right…wide enough..but not fisheye like a GoPro. The D-Cinelike grades beautifully and 4K at 60fps is wonderful. Using the device with a mobile phone is really the best way to get all the features, but if you want to go light and small just use the tiny built in display! I was seriously surprised with how good the image was on the DJI Osmo Pocket…and for me, I would rather have one than a GoPro. Here is our official video review:
  7. All I want is Phase Detect AF for video 4k on a MFT body. Olympus makes great glass and has amazing IBIS and color science. Would love to use one of their cams for 4k video....but I want good AF!!!
  8. I really need to start downloading videos I don’t have backed up off of Vimeo and just get off the platform. It’s really sad to see because Vimeo in 2008-2012 was really a place that I loved for the filmmaking community. The staff pick I received really helped me in my career and i really attribute it to being one of the biggest shifts for me
  9. Thanks again Andrew. Was a blast! Next time we will both have proper microphones!
  10. We are getting one in for review this week. After seeing Andrew at Photokina with his....we really wanted one! Such a special little camera
  11. Thanks man! I will be posting a video version later this week from another different conversation
  12. Thank you so much Andrew for having me on the show! It was such a blast hanging out and chatting about gear. The four hour beer and dinner bickering between you and Dan Chung was the highlight of my week!
  13. I heard after we filmed this video a rumor from a rep that the Panasonic S1/R may do raw internal. Anyways, here is a top ten video going over some things I haven’t heard a lot of people talk about
  14. They literally were! Rubber lenses. Not even real glass. Just a mock up
  15. Our first look video is live... new info to me... bigger battery than GH5
  16. After I figured out color on a7iii, I haven’t missed my 1DC at all. Also, using the X1D for photos recently has helped ?
  17. I second that. Still a lot of IR pollution in the BMPCC 4K footage I’m seeing. The GH5S handles the colors better than the Blackmagic.....but that Blackmagic raw tho... that’s nice. All you need is a Hoya IR cut filter to fix the Blackmagic issue
  18. ya. honestly, I would be interested in this also. a true "1DC replacement" type camera haha
  19. What if they merge it into their cine series. Charge $5499 for it and put that Cine Alta badge on it.
  20. Ooo what shop is it? I wanna check it out. Was thinking of taking a train down to the Leica factory too. This will be my first time to Germany. Super stoked to have some beer and pretzels
  21. Me!!! Let’s meet up. There the 23-30
  22. Noooooooo! Don't say that haha. I need it and wish my a7iii had it every single day.
  23. I really hope this is true: "One anonymous source told me the Sept 18 event will indeed give us the A7sIII with fully articulated screen and 4k60p." -https://www.sonyalpharumors.com/sr5-sony-will-have-a-big-e-mount-announcement-on-september-18-1-day-and-a-press-conference-on-september-25-too/ If the Sony a7SIII truly had a flip out screen with 4k 60fps in 10bit....there would be a huge stir in the market and seems like a Sony thing to do. They have a history of crapping on their competition when things get competitive, and specs like this would crush Canon and Nikon. Sony really has such a lead in the marked of FF Mirrorless and it seems as though the beast has been awakened. Not even a week ago Sony didn't plan on announcing anything at Photokina, and based on the excitement for Nikon and mostly Canon EOS R, it seems Sony has decided to pull the ultimate mic drop. If there really is a fully articulating screen on the a7siii what does that mean about the body? Is it totally redesigned? Is it just an a9 frame with a flip out screen stapled onto it? Did they finally bite the bullet and pay a licensing fee to Canon for the flip out technology? Sony seems to listen to their customers and 4k 60, 10bit, and flip out screen are literally the three most requested features they have had for their a7 lineup I'm sure. I know as a pro youtuber, if sony gave a fully articulating screen to the a7siii, they would dominate the market. I sure hope these rumors are true.
  24. I know for me right now, Im having a hard time trying to figure out the balance of being true and honest, with also receiving demo units. Getting the demo units means I get early access to stuff to help me grow my audience more on YouTube. But when I receive early access products, they expect a good review. If I make a review that maybe would hurt the company, then they don't want to work with me anymore, therefore I don't get early access meaning I don't get to build the largest audience. It's a Catch-22 I am finding. With that being said, you guys are going to love my Rudy Winston EOS R Spoof video.
