  1. I recommend purchasing a Flanders Scientific monitor. If your budget allows I highly recommend a 10-bit monitor however there 8-bit monitors can be even more reasonably priced. You'll need to get an output device to send a proper video signal to your hypothetical monitor. Blackmagic Design's Decklink MiniMonitor is a very reasonable and affordable solution.
  2. Great to hear! That was very much the intention. PS: It was a dolly move the whole time.
  3. Thanks for the kind words. It's also nice to know that you grasped the depth of the project. I agree that the project deserves more views so feel free to share it with other like-minded friends and family. As for Amazon, my past feature film is better suited for that platform. I don't think many people are currently going to Amazon for short film viewing. I wish there was a larger demand because I prefer it as a platform, since it likely gets people to view films on TVs rather than computer screens. To get onto Prime you have to submit to Amazon with the required media necessary for distribution. I get a fraction of a penny for every number of minutes viewed. So like I mentioned, my past feature film makes me a stipend every month.
  4. https://vimeo.com/219253115 For ease of access, the project has also made its way onto Vimeo. Our short is the opening scene of a feature screenplay. Would you like to see this as a full-length film?
  5. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071S8DH6F/ Passion project titled GODDAMMIT. Typical of many passion projects, I wore many hats. Directed by Ryan Moser Writing Credits Ryan Moser Keaton S. Ziem Produced by Jason Antico Rob Goldman Ryan Moser Keaton S. Ziem Cinematography by Ryan Moser Film Editing by Ryan Moser Editorial Department Ryan Moser ... colorist Sound Department Jason Downer ... sound designer / sound editor / sound recordist Music by Twilight In Versailles Grading System: DaVinci Resolve 12.5 Location: Los Angeles, CA USA Camera: Samsung NX1 Format: UHD H265 Type: Short Film Duration: 7 minutes Workflow: Much of this project was achieved with an arduous amount of time and energy spent in pre-production. Before production, I personally inquired and received helpful information from this very site. Camera and lighting choices were tested and nitpicked down to the finest minutiae. The compositing work was achieved in After Effects and had a final assembly within DaVinci Resolve. A lot of the latest features and FX within Resolve such as glows, etc. really elevated the overall look of the project.
  6. Fingers crossed that a hack will commence.
  7. You are the freaking man, Hoezay! I even got to experience the whole converting H265 files process. I used Rocky Mountain Converter. Pretty easy and painless. I can see why people don't have the patience since everybody's use to editing things natively, but it doesn't seem like the most inconvenient process ever. Anyways, thanks a lot! I look forward to seeing how the girl's hair reacts to being keyed. Once again, thank you, thank you, thank you!
  8. Thank you so much! This is extremely helpful. I would love to play with some of the native footage from your shoot. The camera produces such a sharp image so I'm really curious how well it keys around the fine details such as hair, etc. The results look great in your video. I'm curious how crisp the results are in 4k and without YouTube's compression. Please do upload a clip or two of the native files whenever you get the chance. Seriously... Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
  9. Is it possible for somebody to either direct me to, or even possibly shoot some test green screen footage with the NX1? I have yet to see any footage online in regards to how well it keys. Thanks.
