  1. Thanks jcs, I've converted with Qscale set to 2, it took my laptop 9 hours for 6 hours of footage, it seems that it's much quicker when you set max jobs to 4. Final data rate is 162Mbps Cheers!
  2. Do you have the feeling it helped your color grading, I replaced the footage of a chroma key comp in After Effects. The Original footage was Prores HQ 4:2:2, when I replaced it I had the feeling it expanded the color space, but didn't help me to get thinner hair details in the key. I'm probably expecting too much from it. Keying out white transparent hair of an old lady is not easy. I've got a usable key though. I don't know if 4:4:4 worth the go, it took my computer 29mins to process for a 7mins 4k clip. Where as HQ 4:2:2 takes my computer 11 mins. I'll probably use it for a bit, especially when I have dolly moves .
  3. Hi, I just found an alternative to Rocky Mountain Converter that does ProRes 4:4:4. http://brightland.com/w/photon-manual/ Correct me if I'm wrong but the NX1 4k should convert to 1080p 4:4:4 nicely. Am I right? That converter can also output 10 bits 4:2:2 H.264 if you can find/compile a ffmpegH apparently. Cheers!
