    Lenses

I don't know if it's the right topic... I want to buy an RJ lens turbo for my g6, I thought that instead of buying the one for nikon f could buy the one for eos so I could adapt also m42 and other lenses...is there any problem using the lens turbo+an adapter?
  2. I just bought the 28 2.8 ai-s on ebay for 50€, it seem almost new
  3. Just bought the g6 at a local store for 490€ with the kit lens, it's so tiny! Coming from a dslr I really don't like the EVF
  4. So I finally decided: I'm gonna get the g6+14-42 on amazon, it's 550€ but there's a lens that I can use to understand what focal lenght I want on m43 and it's also stabilized, and I have 30 days to send the camera back if don't like it :) I decided to buy the g6 so in the future if I want something better for stills or low light I could get a cheap d3300(or d5300) and still be able to use it as a b camera for video with the nikon lenses that I'm gonna buy for the g6. I'm also gonna get the Fujian 35 1.7 right now because it's 20€ with the adpter ahah thanks to everyone!
  5. I mean this http://***URL removed***/products/olympus/lenses/olympus_m_45_1p8 I've found it at 200€ The european g6 can shoot at max 50p right?
  6. The 50mm 1.8 is better than the 45 1.8 which is twice the price?
  7. I'm looking for a manual nikon prime so if in the future I'll buy a nikon camera I can use the same lenses, a 50mm should be ok but I'd like to have something very sharp Edit: I've found the olympus 45mm 1.8 for 200€ Edit2: There no switch for pal/ntsc so only 50p...that's kind of annoying
  8. Well the g6 is also 100€ cheaper body only and I've just discovered the ETC function of the g6,..it's amazing! I'll shoot a tons of 60p and from what I've seen on the review of the a6000 on this site the codec for 60p is weak so....now I have to choose at least 1 prime lens
  9. The 85mm that I've sold was the canon 1.8, btw the olympus 14-42 and the pana 40-150 are very cheap,, I can get the first with the g6 for only 40€ and the secondo is 150€ brand new. I've also found an offer on the sony a6000 and I've seen that I can use all type of adapter...the g6 is still better?
  10. Today I have to take the final decision. If I buy the g6 what adapter should I get? I don't know nothing about m43 lenses :/ I found this metabones sb clone http://www.ebay.it/itm/Mitakon-Lens-Turbo-Focal-Reducer-M43-Body-Nikon-F-G-Ai-Ai-s-M43-MFT-Olympus-/161167057600?pt=US_Lens_Adapters_Mounts_Tubes&hash=item25864e22c0&_uhb=1 that seem to be quite nice but it does not have an aperture ring,,,if I use a lens like the sigma 18-35 how can I change the aperture? If I use a simple adapter with an AI lens does the camera see the aperture that I set with the aperture ring from the lens? I was thinking about buying a normal adapter and the samyang 85 1.4
  11. It's so hard to choose ç_ç Where I live there are no used d5300 or G6, on amazon I can pick the nikon at 630€ body only and the G6 at 500€ with the 12-42, 400€ body only
  12. The gx7 is twice the price of the g6 so... I'm a bit scared of pictures quality of the m43 sensor, with the 5d I usually shoot at iso 800 to get a bit more dof
  13. The d5200 is out because I'd really like 60fps at 1080p( I love slow-mo, your video at 120 fps is amazing) and the new sensor of the d5300 doesn't show any banding. That could be a problem :D Yeah right now the 600d is a NO, I have to decide between the g6 and the d5300, the a6000 should have the same sensors as the d5300 but the E mount is poor in my opinion, I know that I can use the speedbooster but it's like 500€ and overall I don't see any advantages over the nikon :(
  14. I must say that the d5300 is very tempting...I've seen that it's almost like a 5d3 and is "only" 650€, it has a great dynamic range+great low light. In your videos I don't see that much difference in terms of details but maybe it's only the compression, that's the only thing that make me think about the g6.
  15. I've seen all your videos and I must say that the d5300 is impressive... What are the advantages of the g6?how annoying is the fact that you can't control the aperture in live view?
  16. So g6 is even better that the gh3 O_O? From what I've seen/read the gh3 has more "details", better codec and better low light performance
  17. I don't really like the bmpcc... What about a used gh3? It's 650€, cheaper than the a6000 and should be better than the g6. What would I miss besides peaking? Does it worth the extra cash?
  18. I'd go for the pansonic but I'm scared about photos ( i still like to take some pictrìures sometimes) and from what I've seen I cannot go above 800 iso... what about the d5300? I've seen that it has a very nice sensor! I've already tried ML on the 5d2, it ok for peaking and stuff like that but shooting in raw for me is too much of a mess and I won't get any 60fps
  19. Hi everyone :) It's been 1 year since I lost interest in photography and switched to video and right now I've got a 5d mk II I must say that it's an awesome camera for stills but I almost hate using the 5d for video these days, it's sooo soft, moire and aliasing everywhere and no 60fps, not even at 720p :( ...also the camera and FF lenses are heavy and it's a 1000€ camera ( that's the price of a used 5dII where I live). I've already sold 2 lenses ( 85mm and 14mm samyang) and I'm trying to sell the 5d with the 50mm this week, I don't like to have a 1000€ camera that I don't use or that it' worse than a 500€ g6...now I need to buy something because I'd like to join the "summer in" contest before summer ends :P I've seen a lot of reviews of G6 and a6000 but there's 1 year difference between the two so I don't really know how good is the g6 compred to the a6000, What I need is a "cheap" camera so I can invest money in lenses and other stuff like a slider, I'd like to have 60fps and also a decent photo quality, it would be awesome to have also decent low light performance but maybe I'm asking too much :D -the canon 600d which is very cheap(used), tons of used canon lenses online, but no 1080p 60fps, it's big compered to the other 2 and not so great low light performance plus moire/aliasing, good photo quality, I can get this camera with the tamron 17-50 2.8 for 600€ ( I love this lens), to me this camera has the same quality of the 5d2 besides low light and dof. -the panasonic gf6, is 200€ cheaper than the a6000 (new), almost good as the gh3 plus some features (focus peaking, wifi fully working etc),1080p 60fps, smaller than the 600d but bigger than the a6000 but it's not that good for photos, worst low light performance and less lenses than the 600d...difficult to get very wide shots wih the m4/3 sensor. -the a6000 seems to be very good, it's compact, almost no moire and antialiasing , 1080p 60fps, peaking, zembras, good low light performance but it's the most expensive, poor lenses choice unless you go fo the most expensive zeiss and no mic input (not a big deal for my usage).
