EOS M mount is an option but again haven't tried this myself yet...

Are you sure you're not mistaking EF for EOS M mount? Got a link?

I haven't seen any c-mount to EF mount adapters personally, but I can definitely say they won't give you anything but extreme macro focus.

Yes MFT is bigger than 16mm, and a little bigger than Super 16mm also, so you will get vignetting on the wide angle stuff... Not all, but most.

You are best sticking to 25mm, 50mm, 75mm, 85mm, etc.

    ok, I see now...only macro.

If you're using a GH4/G7/GX85/G85, a lot of vintage 1" 12.5mm TV lenses will cover. The faster the aperture, the better the coverage. With the GX85 and IBIS on, I got full coverage with the 20mm Meopta lens.

the set I got with the bolex s16 doesn`t...kern pailard lenses, 10mm, 18, and 25, only the 25 will not vignete. Well I should have gotten the BM pocket a long btime ago anyway, which should work, I got good excuse now :)

Yes you can enter crop mode. It's more than 3x because it's APS-C size sensor, which is 1.6x crop to begin with.

It is similar to how Ex-Tele on the GH2 looked...

The exact crop factors in crop mode for each camera are here: http://www.eoshd.com/2017/06/magic-lantern-raw-video-current-camera-capabilities-updated-2017/

A very useful tool for telephoto work. Only the 3K/2K crop mode on the 5D3 with lossless raw is useable for 'normal' shots.

I have some nice s16 c mount lenses, that i would love to use on something...a crop and a c mount adapter.

  3. 300€ would be my budget. It will be used on various MTF cameras with a speedbooster. I have had my share of samyang and besides the fisheye I use to film skateboarding they were all unreliable and the image is...hot to put it mehh....but the 8mm fish is a trooper, it has been droped at about 80 kmh, the camera went bust but I still use the lens :)

  4. speed is not that much of a concern, 2.8 is fine by me. I do have a few nikon primes, and while they do look nice I don`t see anything special in them. I use them by hanging the follow focus upside down when I need them, but this time around a want a setup that is as small as possible to fit in a motorcycle pouch.  A friend has a distagon 35 f2 and that lens on a full frame is magic, and it`s that look I`m wanting to find, but cant really shell out 1k+ for a single lens. It`s not a vintage low contrast lens, it`s punchy and it renders in a special way...background separation it outstanding.

  5. I have most of the tokina zooms, rmc and atx, but I`m looking for primes this time around. Yashica ml you say. Can they be adapted to ef mount?

  6. I`m looking for a 20-24mm lens, eos adaptable, preferably a vintage manual lens. It will be speed boosted so a FF lens, but not a nikon, I like the look but the focus ring drives me crazy. So far I`ve been looking a dinstagons, olympus 21mm 3.5...kinda like what I see out of this olympus but the 28 and 35mm seem like duds, so It would be hard to have a matched set.

  7. Wow, you guys are really taking this to the next level :)

I have since forever exposed my footage to the right, even now that I shoot with log profile of the fs7. The reasson, it's how the companys colorist wants it.

That being said, it's just preference. The differences in this cheap 8 bit cameras are so minimal that it hardly makes a difference. These are toy cameras that can give great results in the right hands and in the right circumstances. Expose as you wish and film what you like.

Interesting they put a full frame lens like the 24-35mm on there, what are they trying to say?

If it were Super 35mm they'd put the 18-35mm on it, surely.

because thats the industry standard fo s35 video. You rearly go wider than 20 ish mm on comercial shoots, at least I have been requested to very rearly on 20+ shoots. A shame really, because Iove the wide wide look and I only get to use it on music videos.
