The jello is a bit freaky :)

GX7 has a bit more of that Gh2 green cast...
-
Another vid from a review
The built in image stabilisation is not active during video recording, so for best results a Panasonic lens with optical image stabilisation, or a tripod, is recommended. Focus peaking is available before recording as well as during recording, for manual focus

Ugh I should have sold my RX100 when I had the chance to a few weeks back, now it will be quite devalued...
I like the addition of 24-25p, but they could have added that to the RX100 as a firmware update!
So does the mk2 get both 50-60p as well? -
Vegas should do it automaticly, providing you set the options for it properly in project properties wondow, and right clicking on the video file in the time line and see the settings there
-
Looks like they got rid of the green cast on the G6?!
-
Hmm very tempted
Only thing keeping me with the RX100 is the small size and 1080p60
If I could get that with better quality in the same package, then I no longer need both a RX100 and my GH2... :)
Plus I get 24p, 30p and 60p on one cam...
Plus shooting at 60p during a sunny day, helps keep the aperture open a lot more
---
question
does the G6 mic compare to the GH2's? GH2 has a nice internal mic which I do rely on a fair bit -
If only it had no yellow shiftthats depends on what picture profile you select to shoot on
GH2 Nostalic setting I use all the time is low contrast - not at all crushed -
Pity the lens is more expensive than the camera!
-
Looks like it still has the crushed contrasty Gh2 look
-
Since this sits between the lens and sensor, won't this effect how the lens focuses onto the sensor...?

Posting relevant info
GH3 has about 9+ stops of dynamic range it seems...
But very good rolling shutter specs as per the link
http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?303559-Measuring-rolling-shutter-put-a-number-on-this-issue!&p=1986306886&viewfull=1#post1986306886
RESULTS:
GH3: 15.5 ms (15.4-15.7-15.4)
5D3: 20.5 ms (20.7-20.5-20.4)
D5200: 22.4 ms (22.5-22.1-22.6)
BMC: 25.0 ms (26.7-24.8-23.5)
5D2: 25.9 ms (25.5-26.4-25.8)
NEX-5N: 29.4 ms (28.8-29.6-28.9-29.8-29.8-29.1-29.7)
NUMBERS THAT SQUIG FOUND SOMEWHERE ON THE WEB:
Scarlet 14ms
F65 14ms
FS100 15ms
AF100 14.85ms
C300 16ms
Red One MX 16.6ms
7D 21ms
5D MKII 25ms
GH1 25ms
D90 33msGH3: 15.5ms (three measures: 15.4, 15.7, 15.4)
That puts it clearly ahead of the DSLR pack, with a shutter that is as fast as those from the video and cine cameras. Impressive. Pity about the DR, which still seems a lot worse than the competition. On the neutral setting with everything dialled down to -5, Samuel measured it at 9.3 stops. I've done some real world comparisons to the 5D MKIII and D5200 and it's apparent that the GH3 has less dynamic range. The GH3 noise level/pattern is much better than the 5D and D5200 up to 1600 ISO, there's no fixed pattern noise.
The saga continues.^ that
I wouldn't have posted that "9.3" number, since we're not sure yet about what the optimal settings are for the GH3
but now that it's online... this is the chart with those settings (in thirds of a stop): -

Plenty of cheap, and new CCTV c mount lense on Ebay, well under $100

To the OP may I suggest the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema camera B)

I find using a pistol grip with these cameras helps a lot, and pressing your face against the viewfinder
I got this one

d5200 hack
In: Cameras
A manual lens would allow that

Here is a D5200 vs GH3 comparo
Nikon D5200 - 18-55 VR Kit, Portrait, sharpness +2, contrast -5, WB cloudy
Panasonic GH3 - 12-35 Kit (-4-3-0-2) WB cloudynot seeing a big difference in resolution like the other video
GH3 has a bit more moire

Haha it is indeed, just playing ;)
I use PMC myself, Focals are to bright for my tastes, but I like the Opals.
The Focal SM9 sounds different from the usual Focals - very smooth, neutral, clinical and flat.Extremely fast transient responce and full frequency responce range. They go deeper than the Opals and higher. Well it does cost 2x more....
Headphone style bass due to no ports, just a passive radiator on the top
And a switchable sealed 2 way mode, for checking what things sound like on small "home" systems
Opals sound more exciting and vibey, more 3D and wider, but less accurate, hence why I currently have both
Both are good "movie" watching speakers though - deep subsonic bass booms come through and wide soaring strings
Getting a bit off topic now
RX100 "Scanner Darkly" photo effect B)
If only it could be applied to video....!
-
The D7100 footage looks a little more overexposed
Come on, who needs Event Opals AND Focal 3-ways, that's just greedy ;)
They sound different enough, so I decided to keep both sets :)

Well I don't think the GH2 is anything special with DR, even when hacked.
RX100 is better, even if it's not actually that great itself
GH2 top - RX100 bottom
Variable ND filters for video?
