  1. Okay, Andrew, you sold me on the Sony A7S, but what do you think the odds are that they'll have internal 4K by next year, and at what price point? Seems like a good chance, since you can shoot 4K internally not only with the GH4, but with smartphones like the Samsung S5 and LG G3 (and probably a GoPro at regular frame rates later this year).
  2. Okay, you much prefer the Sony A7S over the Blackmagic Pocket Camera because of features, handling, and ergonomics, but based on image quality alone, how far off is BMPC RAW vs. Sony A7S (1080p with the Atomos)? Or BMPC ProRes?
  3. "The A7S is without a shadow of a doubt the best camera right now for the money." Seems like the Blackmagic Pocket Camera at under $500 would get that title, especially with ProRes and RAW recording at that price point.
  4. Five straight postings on the Sony A7S. Is the Panasonic GH4 falling out of favor?
  5. Astonishing! Looks like it has comparable dynamic range to a Red Dragon while being considerably better in low light, all for less than 1/10th the price.
  6. The Panasonic GH4 is looking better and better...
  7. Heard the 1.8 zoom was even better: http://www.dxomark.com/index.php/Publications/DxOMark-Reviews/Sigma-18-35mm-F1.8-DC-HSM-A-Canon-mount-lens-review-fixed-focal-length-quality-in-a-zoom/Sigma-18-35mm-F1.8-DC-HSM-A-Canon-versus-primes
  8. EOSHD news radio has now become BLACKMAGIC news radio.  Blackmagic news everyday, all the time.  Everything else is just old news.
  9. Sorry Sony, Canon, Panasonic, and Red.  Any new announces at NAB are now irrelevant.  Blackmagic has stolen the show again.  My Panasonic GH2 is now GH through and I welcome the pocket cinema camera with open arms.
  10. The moire and aliasing control appears to be excellent, but these samples don't demonstrate whether it's as sharp as the GH2.  They look a little soft to me, but later samples may prove to be more detailed.  And the better low-light capabilities (as well as color and dynamic range) makes it a more attractive choice than the GH2.  Can't wait for the Epic vs BMCC results!
