1. I don't think F55 does RAW internally. It does 4k internally but for RAW it still needs the AXS-R5 module
2. it's still quite expensive compared to Blackmagic. I like the look and ergonomics though
3. This is my most recent experimental short. The objective of this short is to reveal an object. Hope after watching you'll guess what that is. This short is more like an homage to analogue photography. Directed, Cinematography, Edited, Scored, Mixed by Mida Chu. Starring Megan Walters. Shot on Sony NEX-FS100 (AVCHD), with Canon 55mm f/1.2 FD, Zeiss 28mm f/2.0 ZE, Zeiss Flektogon 35mm f/2.4 M42, and Sony 16mm f/2.8 E-mount. Some shots were done with a 58mm vid-atlantic cinemorphic filter for the stretched bokeh. Most shots were converted via 5DtoRGB Batch. Hope you'll enjoy this. 4. I wish the MFT mount version has an active MFT lenses. Thence we would be able to use all the panasonic lenses with aperture control.
5. To me it's not quite hard to understand why C100 exists, but for C500, i have to wonder: why on earth would you spend $30000 on a Canon video cam that shoots 4k with an external recorder, rather than buying a $8000 Sony FS700 that does the same thing, plus Sony has proved to build awesome sensors and FS700 is measured for 14 stops of dynamic range. http://provideocoalition.com/index.php/aadams/story/cameras_sony_fs700_dynamic_range_presentation/
6. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SONY-Mavica-MVC-5000-Hi-Band-Still-Video-SLR-Camera-Recorder-/220969894063?pt=Digital_Cameras&hash=item3372d500af#ht_2614wt_1165 remember Sony made the first still-video interchangeable lens camera. Hope they can roar again this time!
7. if they make something like a C100 it'll be sweet but I dont think it will ever have 10-bit, and I doubt if it'll have C-log or even 60p. Therefore I wonder what's its advantage over FS100, the look of Canon color? To me if someone makes a full-frame camcorder that has nice resolution and the ability to adapt a wide range of lenses will be a hit. Or a affordable fullframe mirrorless like Leica M will be nice.
8. The actual resolution and sharpness of this camera are what I'm most concerned.
9. Great review. Totally amazed by the video quality! Glad to see Sony making new moves in video domain. Let's hope the video capability on A99 will be as good as or better than it is on RX100.
10. might simultaneous stills / video recording capability only be the frame grab at 1080p?
11. This is a newly completed film by Kira Bursky and Mida Chu. We are high school student who are studying films in Interlochen Arts Academy. https://vimeo.com/42429572 Emma, a shy girl, has her heart broken as her boyfriend breaks up with her. Trying to prove to him and herself that she can be interesting, she gets involved with Eric, the local bad boy, and his group. As the days pass by, she becomes more and more far away from who she really is. The film is shot on Sony NEX-FS100 with Zeiss 28mm, SMC Takumar 50mm, Pentacon 135mm, Sony 18-200mm, Sony 16mm. Enjoy!
12. I spend last weekend shooting this narrative short film "The First Dusk". Still using my Sony NEX-FS100. Looks nice. Check it out. The First Dusk Lenses: Zeiss 28mm Distagon, Zeiss 35mm Flektogon, SMC Takumar 50mm, Sony 18-200mm, Sony 16mm. Planning to get a Contax G Zeiss set to get the matched color.
13. Seeing some nice use of 60p slow-mo here.  :D
