    Sexy!

Wonder how it would hold up against the Panaleica 25mm, optically.
I'd much rather go for this along with an adapter.

Not really an apples to apples comparison here. The Leica is for a crop sensor, the Samyang is for full frame. If you plan to use it only on the GH2 there are better alternatives around, like that Leica Lumix and the Voigtlander Nokton 25mm F0.95

Only on full frame is the 'fast wide' look with this lens doable, and that makes it worth buying - as a true wide angle, not as a portrait equivalent on the GH2.

    Yes I'm well aware.
I was thinking that it would be useful for my larger sensor DSLRs as well.
  2. Technically, what's the difference between smooth, standard and dynamic?
Are they all just different contrast curves, or does dynamic actually do something more than that?

Also, this is slightly off topic, but what's your opinion on the Olympus 12mm f2.0 compared to the Hyperprime 12mm f1.6?
Is the bigger aperture on the Hyperprime worth the loss of sharpness that you would get from the Olympus?

    Thanks for the video!
  3. I was thinking, and Fuji has the right idea of how the RGB pattern on a sensor should be distributed.
Just imagine, every pixel being a 3x3 random pattern made of 3 reds, 3 greens and 3 blues.
That would be magical in low light.

My fastest lens is my nikkor 50mm f1.2, curious how that would affect the grain quality for those of us who dont have f0.95? on my GH2

I'm thinking of getting that lens.
1.2 is still a very fast aperture, I don't think it would be that much of a difference.
