Hi - Sorry for the noobie questions... I see the guides on this site. I am a little unsure of them because I am interested in learning the real basics and not so attached to the camera itself...I actually just bought a rx100 to start out and will add something next yr. So, can anyone recommend any good blogs with really decent beginning/how to articles or an ebook or something or even kindle book etc that will get me into this film/video stuff? Or would you recommend say the GH2 and 50D guides on this site? thx Brett PS - Andrew - I am sure the guides are great:). Just checking if there is something even more intro I could get into first.

Hello all, i have been doing wildlife / birding photography for a few years now and i have always wanted to experiment with video and install magic lantern on my 5D II but have never gone ahead and done it, but i just picked up the 50D because of the possibilites of the raw video recording (and i needed to replace my old and beaten up 40D). Anyways i really would love to get into film making, especially wildlife filming, but i don't know ANYTHING about the basics of filming. I am wondering if there is a good guide anywhere out there. I will be using the 5D II or 50D (preferably the 50D because i use the 5D II for photography jobs). Also does anyone have any good videos of nature or wildlife videos? I'm guessing landscape shots can make a popular subject, is anyone doing wildlife or birds?

Is there a easy to use shooting guide for people who just start using a 'SLR'? Received my brand-new Panna GH3 two days ago. I know what words like f stops and ISO etc mean. Still coming from a consumer camcorder it's a little bit bewildering at the moment. I have my Panasonic manual to tell me where all the bits are and I know how to search the internet but.....is there a easier to use starting guide for people like me? Explaining step by step and practical which function does bring what kind of effect - preferably for the GH3? I don't know Andrews GH2 guide and when and if there will be a GH3 guide. Thank you so much for helping!
