Sony PMW-F3 with 2500 hours on it. Should I buy it?

Has anyone experienced the ND filter being stuck on their F3? I’m trying to slide the tab to Off, but the filter is still partially showing. I can’t slide it all the way down to off. There’s resistance. Any suggestions for a fix?
