  1. I have had some success. I have learned that I need about 15 feet of distance from the lens to the subject to get a decent focus. The Moller 63/2x is very hard to focus such that the focus ring is stiff. Please excuse the color correction. I did not spend much time on it.
  2. I have a Moller 63/2x Anamorphic projector lens that someone has let be borrow for a bit. My goal is to see if I could get this to produce a good Anamorphic video from my BMPCC-4K. This lens is amazing super clean glass and very heavy. I was able to get the distance setting ring to turn. However, it's stiff and requires two hands to operate. I did notice that, once I removed the lock ring, the front of the lens does move out when you twist the ring and moves back when you twist in the opposite direction. So, something it happening there. I believe that this ring is used (when connected to a projector) to set the distance to the screen. I am assuming that the focusing was accomplished by a connecting lens. Then again, I am not sure. So, with the Nikon 50mm f-1.4 attached, and set to say ~F-10 or so, focusing was very difficult. I tried to stop down even more and had similar results Having no experience with Anamorphic lenses I was basically trying different combinations of focus between the two. I could use some advise. Am I dreaming to think that this lens will give me a nice image? Should I move on? Here is the first video that I made. Perhaps I am too close to the lens? https://youtu.be/VRvDDq2Hnps Thank you!
