@omega1978 a little bit late but walkthrough is really helpful. I found out Youtube mark it as HDR video! I have a couple of issues though. One, movie itself is still washed out. Maybe I need some grading?, Two, it plays as 1080p, not 2160p as file itself.

Hi. I've found out a7R III support HDR video recording with HLG format. I recorded a test video with PP10/HLG setting and I have an mp4 file and xml file. Now what should I have to do to upload it as HDR video? I uploaded an mp4 file and it shows as SDR video. I found Youtube help page but it's too vague. It introduce metadata tool and I guess it's the one I have to use. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/7126552?hl=en but I'm not good at command line input and instruction is a little bit overwhelming. please help me. I want easy process to upload HDR video.
