  1. no, haha ! I made another one that has all the information in the first post.
  2. I am selling a great anamorphic attachment, including a clamp adapter to 52mm and a +3 DHG diopter. The glass is thrilling. Colors are really warm and it can get sharp wide open and really sharp when the diafragma is closed. Very smooth flares and focusses really fluently. You get a 3.6:1 ratio out of it. In my opinion it is way better than the known Bolex attachments. Reason for selling it is that I rent Kowa lenses in a set nowadays. Open to bids from 600 dollars (paypal accepted). I ship worldwide. link to the ad: http://www.marktplaats.nl/m1001007585 EMAIL: jellelieshout@me.com , CALL: +31 6 1017 2042 Sharp from 1 to infinity without a diopter. Shot with a Helios 44m with a GH2 with the intravenous hack.
  3. Bought it for 1050 without all the options, so really a bargain. this is the ad: http://www.marktplaats.nl/a/audio-tv-en-foto/fotografie-lenzen-en-objectieven/m1001007585-canon-c-8-scope-2x-3-6-1-anamorphic-lens-weggevertje.html?c=8c285449651fa109c354bbabe740c1b&previousPage=lr
  4. Want to sell it soon, so feel free to bid above the 550 dollars. I accept paypal.
  5. No diopter used. When you close it to a point between f2 and f2.8 it gets really sharp. Footage is with the diafragma wide open (f2). Very shallow depth of field, even near infinity. Shot of book was at 1,5 meter.
  6. Kowa and Canon from the 70's are in the same ballpark indeed . I use the real prime anamorphics by Kowa once in a while and they are really warm and lovely. Not the shapest, but DAMN how nice they focus between distances. New vimeo demo tomorrow!
  7. just did a test wide open and all of a sudden I noticed that it does get incredibly sharp, but that the depth of field gets so shallow that you dont see easily on what it focusses. Only used it for landscapes and stages, so never noticed that. I can get a subject at 1 meter very sharp with the prime lens wide open! You know what? I will try to make a video tomorrow of the sharpness wide open!
  8. Yes, you are right. But that isnt a baby lens. That thing is huge! The canon is a baby, like the Bolex. + that lens doesnt focus to infinity / can't get even closer than 2.5 meters. these lenses/attachments all have their flaws in that they have a certain distance where they focus sharp and get softer quickly when the subject gets closer or further. When you close my canon you could see it as having everything in hyperfocal focus from 1m - infinity. That's where this lens shines. Very very sharp closed down with the diopter. By the way: the clamp adapter has another step-up ring attached to 52mm.
  9. Thanks from your response. yes, they all are. At least the ones that were meant as projection lenses. Same for the bolex and the iscorama's that are below 2k. the cheapest lens I know that is an independent anamorphic lens that can be mounted to a prime lens is the 3k iscorama. That one has single focus and is sharp with the prime lens wide open.
  10. I am selling a great anamorphic attachment, including a clamp adapter to 49mm and a +3 DHG diopter. The glass is thrilling. Colors are really warm and it can get really sharp when the diafragma is closed. Very smooth flares and focusses really fluently. You get a 3.6:1 ratio out of it. In my opinion it is way better than the known Bolex attachments. Reason for selling it is that I rent Kowa lenses in a set nowadays. Open to bids from 700 dollars. This is the add on the dutch ebay: http://www.marktplaats.nl/wijzigAdvertentie/m1001007585.html?c=d721e818194200feca4409741512b6e6&previousPage=mympSeller Located in Amsterdam. Local pickup possible. I send internationally. email: jellelieshout@me.com , phone: +31 6 1017 2042 footage shot with a Helios 44m (so would perform even better with a better prime) and the diafragma wasnt closed to the max.
  11. Guys, I find this solution damn attractive. I have a scenario for you. What diopter would you use if you had a GH2 and a A7S, a Helios 44, a rare Canon C-8 baby anamorphic lens (2x, similar size to the bolex 8/19) and a Sony 0,7x wide converter? I guess it should be one with a lower value, since only the helios + C-8 already focusses from 50 cm - infinity? Don't know what the extra wideness does to the whole story...
