  1. In the process of updating some equipment. Had this for about a year and though I love it, my work is moving in a direction where it's not as practical.

I have some basic accessories, and the voigtlander 17.5mm.

There is some cosmetic wear, but overall everything is in solid condition and works perfectly. This cam has been a great little work horse.

Voigtlander listing is ending very soon!

  2. I guess this part of the sentence wasn't worth adding/?

"Perhaps this was a prototype issue, but all it takes is some tape to fix that."

How many hoops have indie guys used to get amazing footage from a DSLR? This is applies to drone work, unless you have crazy money.

We have gaffer taped all kinds of crap on our photohigher gimbal to fix issues in the field.

LOL if you wanna buy a camera for drone work, that's lens allegedly slips out when pointing down, with the intent to GAFFER TAPE it, then by all means.

BUT IVE NEVER heard of someone wanting to purchase a camera with the intent of GAFFER TAPING it. let alone a 2500$ one. I totally understand resourcefulness, but when it's required, not when you just feel like it?

  3. I like how the Bale vs Hurlbut conflict has came up repeatedly, when if you research just a little bit, you'll find that many on that set sided with Bale, and had little respect for Hurlbut at the time.

Furthermore Hurlbut was called an inexperienced DP at the time, he was in no way equal in clout to Christian Bale (and still isn't). He also didn't shoot another feature (indy) until 3 years later. People just assume Hurlbut is an amazing DP because they know his name from online tuts.

Meanwhile Bill O'Rielly still has a show over here in the U.S.

  4. pretty silly to indicate this camera has a 25-400 lens, when that's actually the FF FOV equivalent and has absolutely nothing to do with the physical focal length and f stop ratio of the lens. The lens is a 9.1-146mm f2.8-4.0. IF it were a 25-400, it'd likely have to be more than twice the size of this lens to achieve a 2.8-4.0 aperture.

Crops are becoming commonplace in the industry, but let's be clear to point out that they are CROPS, and not magical lenses. I still don't know why the world of video uses FF equiv as a standard.

Just seems ridiculous to say "First let’s take in the rather lovely view… A 25-400mm Leica lens"

When it's pretty obvious that a leica 25-400mm lens would cost probably twice as much as this camera if not much much more.
