Thank you, I forgot to tell you the lens I am using DOH! :)
It is a Pentax 50mm 1.4 K mount manual lens.
I would be interested to see your 28mm with the reducer.
I hope you get your BMPCC soon.

The commercial looks tasty!
I am so hungry now ... :) Good work!

Thanks for the thumbnails. Since I just pulled the trigger on the Black Magic Pocket at the new price today I'm now looking at this item since I have several k mount lenses. How's the performance overall?
You are welcome. I feel like the performance is very good. However, I will say the crop is still fairly drastic on a 50mm lens, even with the adapter. The adapter improves this some as you saw in the still grab from Resolve above.
I am trying to decide what would be a good test to show you beyond a still file.

I went to order at BH Photo and they are temporarily out of stock.
newegg has stock with a free sd card, but no returns, no refunds. If you have warranty issues you will have the standard 1 year with BMD.

I just saw that on the BM site. I may need to get a second pocket.

The adapter came in yesterday and I am impressed so far. The device was well protected and it fits my BMPCC really well.
Something about the focus peaking has struck me as odd. It seems focus peaking is working better with the adapter than without it.
I'll try to do some test videos that I can share soon.

I ordered one to try out. It shipped today.
I am curious to see how it does on an old 1.4 prime.

Jinfinance (ebay seller) says the model he is selling definitely works.

Will this adapter fit my BMPCC?
The vendor said no, with no explanation.
The descriptions says the optics will extend 7mm into the camera body.
Thanks,
Brian

As far as recording straight into the computer, I was thinking of the use of an HDMI-in card like this card, or this one or this one. In theory you could use a card like that to record the clean HDMI out of the camera into a program like Dragonframe's live view. But this is a significant amount of extra money and hardware.
Wow Ergo, that first card is really inexpensive. I will have read more about it. Thank you!

Thanks guys
Technically it would be time lapse frames to create stop motion. There is no way to grab or take stills that I am aware of on a bmpcc.
I didn't want to buy another camera or more gear for this and I wanted RAW frames. Sounds like trying to use time lapse for this might be painful though.

I want to see if I can use the time lapse function of my bmpcc to create some stop motion clips.
I have googled lighting and I haven't found the information I was looking for.
What I am looking for is some inexpensive, flicker free lights. I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,
Brian

Very nice! Might we see a pic of your rig setup?

At 4:59 or so it appears he is standing with no brace and arms free and out. WOW!

That really looks good to me. I like the flares from the the car headlights and the candle.

I am fairly sure the GX7 does not stablize video with IBIS. Stills only based on the reviews I have read.

Great job Bryan Harvey!
Light of the Yucatan is beautiful. That feeling of "being there" was present and I loved it. It was National Geographic quality work for sure.
I haven't seen anything in awhile that made me want to take a trip like watching that did.
I will now take the money I was going to spend on a GH4 and take a trip to Mexico instead! ;)
Help! Diopter for BMPC 4K+LA7200+Tokina 11-16mm lens!
