  1. Hi Guys. Im after some spare parts for a lomo 35mm round front. In short someone has used an abrasive instead of a grease in the helicoil and its worn the threads down to a point where the focus is loose and has too much play. Does anyone have any spare parts for the lens, maybe one that got smashed or thats been rehoused and these parts are surplus? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  2. Hey Guys Im just building up a small collection of anamorphic's that interest me for a test im doing. Does anyone know what the best clamp is for the isco ultrastar red. Im a massive fan of Redstan and have had his clamps on every anamorphic adapter ive ever owned. On the ultra star tho (and I cant really tell from the photos online, hence asking here) It does seem like, 1 there is a screw in piece that looks like it might mas a small area of the glass. and 2, the clamp looks like it means you cant get the taking les as close to the ana glass as I could if I used a vid atlantic clamp, which looks like its flush with the anamorphic lens. Any one got any experience? vignetting/wider taking lens issues. Nice one The rapido, and raf camera ones also look good for this lens
  3. On reflection, price is possibly a bit high. £500 For those of you that don't know, The FM module allows you to focus from close to infiniti without having to focus both lenses.
  4. Schneider 2x cinelux MC anamorphic lens and anamorphic shop FM module combo for sale. Both in fantastic condition. Schneider lens, optics are perfect, and the outer body is ver very good. be tiny scratches and some marks where its been clamped to (but its going to be inside the FM Module anyways. I would say optically 10 out of 10. Cosmetically 8 out of 10. Focus Module is like now. Only used a handful of times. Optically perfect, cosmetically perfect. Also has a custom built focus ring. Pictured. All you need to get up and running is have a taking lens of your choice and a lens mount of your choice. (and of course a camera) 600 GBP for both. Would prefer UK sale.
  5. Thanks richg101. We wish it was a more narrative based short too. We did shoot dialogue in the middle and were going to break the track up, fade down to live action and come back into the song for the end. But the label didnt go for it sadly.
  6. Here is another Promo we recently shot with a set of Kowas (40, 50, 75, 100mm) that I though some people might like to see. Any thoughts or feedback welcome.
  7. SOLD to Chris Elkerton - Couldn't have gone to a nicer guy.
  8. Its very hard to say without seeing the true / original image, but for sure the 1.4x looks better but she might have just had a round face! I grade a lot of music promos and its not uncommon for the Label to ask to give a 5-10% squeeze on the footage horizontally to make the artist look slimmer. Happens and awful lot, especially with female artist.
  9. Hi Guys. For those of you that are interested. If you change the clip attributes to DVCProHD pixel aspect ratio in resolve. You het a perfect desqueeze without having to scale or warp. Vey handy. Thanks to Chris Elkerterton for the heads up.
  10. Surely that didn't give you the correct de-squeeze tho?
  11. Iscorama pre 36 by the way (1.5x on 5kHD so 16:9 frame size)
  12. Here is the image incase anyone cares. This was a guestimate desqueeze. 5k HD REDCODE - 5:1 HELIOS 58mm - f.2 (WIDE OPEN) ND - SCHNEIDER IRND 0.9
  13. So I have a de-squeeze question when in resolve. I shot a few test clips 5kHD - Red epic. and I want to de squeeze them in resolve. ( I will set my correction node to timeline and adjust as a whole) Does anyone know what the parameters are that I need to set to get the correct de-squeeze? Is it better to stretch the height (i.e change the height parameter). Or, Stretch the width and then scale down using the zoom parameter? Images attached.
  14. Lizson. These are all different from what I am selling. The top one is a 54 and is multicoated. The 36 is similar, again multi coated which in my humble opinion is less desired (we all want that flare). Plus it does not have the original Nikon taking lens included which will always help you with resale value. Fell free to look elsewhere on ebay, you might grab a bargain. Im simply giving you a price I think is fair and that I saw one go for recently. Tommy, The lens is in great condition. No scratches, fungus, etc etc. Are you UK based. You are welcome to have a look. Will also chuck in a Helios 58mm taking lens for free. I have no need for it once the isco is gone. Cheers guys
  15. Hi Guys I have been umming and arring about selling my iscorama for ages. Its time for it to go. I just don't use it enough and it just sits on my shelf. 17. Hi Guys Thought I would put a post up to see if anyone is interested in my Iscorama Pre 36 lens. I have just bought an epic, so having a clear out of things that I don't use very often and sadly the disco is one of them. It has the original Nikon aspherical lens included in the sale. Also the legendary Tokina +4 diopter and I will throw in the reds tan clamp. The lens is in great condition. The glass is clean and clear, no scratches, fungus etc. The body is also in great condition. The numbers are wearing a little but this is to be expected... We all know how old it is. Not looking to make a profit but would like to try and get back what I paid for the lens, if I can't get close I will probably hold onto it. I am UK based but am in San Francisco and possibly LA next week. (Wednesday to Monday) so if people that way are interested, I could maybe bring it with me and we could meet. Looking for 3200 GBP for the Isco 280 GBP for the tokina Please get in touch for photos. Something strange going on here, saying I can only upload photos no bigger than 3kb!!! Cheers
  18. Sorry guys, been on shoots. Will upload the videos tomorrow.
  19. Yeah, Luckily for me VD are 15 minutes down the road. I will book it in and then take it there personally when they are ready. Might save a few headaches meaning I can still use it if they will let me do that.
  20. Thanks. Sadly I cant take all the credit for the cinematography as a good friend DOP'd it for me. I was directing (under our directing duo name CRYWOLF and called in some favours for steadicam etc. Yeah they are 2x, They are lovely. We actually got the rehoused set in. http://www.spinningmirror.com/spinningmirror/Kowa_Mirrorscope.html We were using 4:3 sensor on the Alexa, and obviously 16:9 on the BMCC with the 1.5x was pretty close. (needed a slight resize) We decided not to crop the extra infomation that the Alexa give you on the sides, so we ended up with something like 3:55:1 aspect ratio. Did you find the rehousing worthwhile? What is your usual taking lenses?
  21. I have a few anamorphic bits for sale. Feel free to message me if interested. UK based Isco Gottingen 2x anamorphic lens + vid atlantic clamp (quite large). Lenses are clean and clear, perfect working order. Had a lot of fun with this on my 70-200. Smaller vid atlantic clamp (never used) Vid atlantic front filter clamp. (to be able to use variable NDs etc.... Never used) Open to offers, just want it to go to a good home.
  22. Hi Guys Thought I would share our latest music video that we shot using Kowa anamorphics (40mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm PL with ALEXA) and which we used an iscorama and BMCC (2.5k) to do a few pick ups with. Sadly only one of the Iscorama shots made it into the video. Not from lack of quality or it standing out... but just from the story telling side of things we only ending up needing one. I have to say when we were editing, how impressed I was with the combo. It held its own very well against the Alexa and Kowa combo and now plan on shooting more with it. One thing I have always been conscious about with the iscorama is how it would fair on proper sets. I do often worry that its sometimes hard to tell if things are sharp and the focus is stiff making it hard to use a follow focus. I plan on having mine 'Van Diemen Rehoused' in the next few weeks to make it more onset friendly and then will hopefully get more use out of it. The iscorama shot is the night time driving just before he enters the bike workshop. Could upload some other shots from the shoot if anyone is interested.
