The variable ND i've used has nothing either side of the 'sweet spot' ie. it feels very on or off. Maybe the more expensive ones would give me more to play with?

i am surprised no-one has tried to make more of the lens adapters than just 1 tripod thread -1 on top and 1 on the side would be nice.
rail clamps?
hot shoe mount?
cooling system ;-)?

Re ND filter wheel built into the lens adapter: there is an effect on the focus point when putting something behind the lens but that could be minimised by using gels and accommodated by have an adapter with a micro adjustable barrel length.

Hi new here, joined to ask the following question:

Does anyone produce (or has experimented making) a lens adapter (nikon to nex for example) with a built in ND filter wheel?
