The more I read about the magic lantern alpha release, the more I am moments away from installing it on my MK3... Would love to get an opinion on the percentage of risk involved currently in doing this with the alpha version? I have not been able to find anyone online speaking negatively or having a bad experience with the alpha firmware bricking their camera, so please share your advice if possible! Thanks!

you mention the camera is half the price of the Epic - which is incorrect... The F55 which is '4k' ready is $50,000. Epic is about be significantly dropped from $25,000. The F5 may be $15,000, but you'll need to spend another 10k for an external recorder in order for it to be '4k' ready. funny how people get excited about 4k now- no one's even seen any images from either of these cameras, expect them to be as disappointing as the F65.

as every camera, it has pros and cons - you're forgetting to mention the poor internal battery life and excessive memory and post processing required to handle all the footage. The MKIII has its benefits in those regards, I wouldn't say goodbye to it so easily! ;)

Looking for anyone who may have run into a similar issue when trying to install Cinestyle on the MKIII. When I'm in the Register Picture Style File box, I am unable to select the 'Open File' dialog box to select the Cinestyle.pf2 file. No matter which profile I select, it does not become active. Anyone? Thanks.
