1. I was just about to pull the trigger on a Zoom H4N when I got an email about this bad boy: http://www.rodemic.com/vmhd Looks good. Any guess as to how much? I'll wager $500-800-US.
2. Picked this up on eBay for $225(US). The seller listed it as a Gitzo 6x, but he had no idea what it was as he was selling it for a friend. I had him send me some photos, and this is what I got: 2012-01-05_18-40-44_817 by Mike 2012-01-05_18-40-04_821 by Mike Looks like a Gitzo 1257 with a low profile rationelle head. It definitely looks used, but I'm okay with that. This is my first tripod and I'm hoping I got a great deal on something that will serve me well as I grow into the GH2. I do wonder about the red cap on the center column... Thanks, Mike
3. Hi Milandirector, If you plan to purchase a Canon 5D, it would make sense to purchase the Canon compatible Samyang. You will need a Canon adapter to mount it on your GH2. I can highly recommend Andrew's EOSHD GH2 Shooters Guide as an excellent resource for these types of questions. Best, Mike
4. Any updates on that head? I have the chance to pick one up on the cheap if I move fast.
