Well, it isn't an entirely wrong lens. It's just a bigger brother of all the Ultra Stars people tend to use.
There is no way to disassemble it, unfortunately.
Like leslie said, the only thing you're missing now is a clamp to attach it to your normal lens and camera.
I had a7iii and used it with anamorphics for a short time, so if you have questions - just ask away.
