When editing 4K for 1080 output in FCPX should the timeline be 4K or 1080?
It would seem to me that to take full advantages of 4K, i.e. pan/zoom etc. that one should use a 4K timeline and convert to 1080 on export via Compressor?
I am new to 4K and would be interested in any articles written about the nuances of working with it.
Thanks
Kent
This is what I have been using. It works well but could be lighter.
Tripod: Sirui N-1204 (surprisingly sturdy for it's weight)

Leveler: Acratech (Dont't skimp on lesser models)

The GH4 has a great Wi Fi controls using an iPhone. The only problem is a very short range, 20-30 feet. Does anyone have a recommendation as how to increase that control distance to a 100 feet or more.
Thanks

I am new here and to 4K.
I just got a GH4 and I edit in FCPX 10.1.1. Is there a tutorial available that explains the nuances and workflow for efficient editing of 4K for a 1080 output?
Thank you
Kent
