  1. I'm in the market to buy a new video editing laptop so I can do edits when I'm on the go. I've narrowed my choices down to the new Macbook Pro 15" (2018) or the Dell XPS 9570 (I9, 32gb, 4K screen). My budget is around $2800.

I shoot with a Panasonic GH5 and mostly shoot in 4K. I do shoot 10 Bit color depending on the project. I also have a Atomos Ninja Infero in Avid DNx. I edit in Premiere Pro and on a Windows 10 PC. I had a Macbook Pro (2010) and I tried editing in Final Cut Pro X when it first came out, but could not get used to it. I've read that the latest version is lighting fast with the new Macbook Pros. I've been editing in Premiere for the past 10 years though.

I'm honestly looking for the best investment for my money. Any suggestions and which configuration would be best?

  2. I just had the same thing happen to my Viltrox EF-M2.  I've been using with with the Sigma 18-35 and it just suddenly stopped connecting.  I tried to clean the contacts, update to firmware 3.0, and when I connect it to the GH5 & G85, it will not even up version number anymore.  The aperture dial on it does not work either.

  3. Hi everyone.  I'm currently a Beholder EC1 user with my Panasonic G7 & GH4 with 12-35.  I've had a lot of problems out of this gimbal and my supplier is willing to let me exchange it for a Zhiyun Crane.  Any feedback?  Everything I've seen, read, and researched, the Crane is a solid purchase with solid results.  Any G7 | GH4 users with feedback?  Thanks!

  4. It even states in the manual:

    Motion Picture:

1/30th of a second to 1/16000th of a second (when systtem frequency) is set to (59.94 hz (NTSC)

I've tried everything but that's just weird it won't go but in the manual is says it's there.

  5. Hi.  I was trying to use the Panasonic Image App to shoot a time lapse however when you put it in interval mode, the app says cannot operate in that mode?  Didn't know if there was any way around that.  It would be nice to use the Image app as a remote shutter to stop and start recording.

    Thanks
