If Canon advertises the Mark III as 1080p and it is closer to 720p,
what else should they expect from end users!
I own a MarkII, I really like the cam yet
it too is closer to 720p than 1080. Get it right Canon, you have a wonderful cam thats shoots closer to 720P not 1080!
Andrew, I like and appreciate your work and your blog. You are an advocate for independent creators.
You celebrate the good and protest the bad, I couldn't ask for anything more. -
Andrew has been resolute all along with the observations of the GH2...
call it revenge or call it what you like. I call it by saying Andrew has a good eye and tells it like it is! -
Perhaps the "film producers" now have a leaning curve to shoot High def Video.
Film is more forgiving than High-def. Its latitude its silky soft look are more organic than stark clean cut video.
All those who shoot pro video know this.
Its ironic that the pro film guys are now dealing with this reality.
Lars von Trier returns to Cannes and people seem to have taken personal offence to his fictional serial killer

Never been a fan of gratuitous violence also don't like high end Hollywood films. I believe a well done film will bring out the viewers emotions while illustrating less gore and or violence. Simply written, less is more. As for movie critics I don't read their rambling...
I write full length scripts on the side. Its a hard nut to crack. I have a script that is currently doing rather well. Admittedly it has a lot of violence in the end. Though its a different kind of violence if you can believe that.
