Nice. Yeah, I've read around and I saw that either the Sun or Sankor were pretty good to start off with. My only concern at this point is whether or not I should get lenses off Ebay to use with it, or if I can use them with the Rokinons I've been using for the past year now.

For now? Experiment. Eventually, I would like to have a nice anamorphic set-up to shoot with.

Hello, everyone! Let me start off by introducing myself: my name is Brandyn Bullock, and I am a young filmmaker from the suburbs of Long Island, New York. I have been following my dreams as a filmmaker for five years now. Now, I am here today making this thread because I have some questions and concerns regarding an anamorphic adapter that I would like to purchase. I have been eyeing the Sun Anamorphic Adapter 16 for a few days now, and I really would like to purchase it, but there's a big problem: I don't know all too much about anamorphic lens adapter set-up! What I would like to know is if I need step-up and/or step-down rings and some kind of clamp to use the Sun adapter with my lenses? The lenses I use in my film work are the Rokinon Cine T1.5 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm since I absolutely love the images I get out of them with my T2i. Would using the Rokinons be problematic seeing as the Sun has filter thread of 40.5mm if I'm correct? If so, are there better suited lenses I could/should use with the Sun? Please let me know.
