In the last few hours the first 90Mbit 1080p Quicktime file was made available from a pre-production 5D Mark III.

The subject matter is mundane but finally we get to see what the true resolution of this camera is like.

The test is shot at ISO 3600. Here’s my verdict…

‘Tester13’ has identified the sensor modes and parameters related to the HDMI output of the GH1 with an aim to enable live output for monitoring simultaneously while recording, or even uncompressed HD signal for recording footage on an external device (such as Nanonflash, above).

Panasonic AF100 features uncompressed RAW video

I’ve rounded up some juicy quotes from Panasonic’s broadcast / pro division product manager which you may find interesting.

“This camera (the AF100) delivers an uncompressed HD output, if you want to by pass the AVCCAM codec, you may”

That’s good news to say the least. This means you can record uncompressed RAW 1080p on Nanoflash via HD-SDI. The biggest gains in HDSLR video is not going to be from incremental sensor improvements, but by a huge leap in image processing. How about aliasing? Does it line skip?
