Gh4 system frequency

Hi all,

im new to the forum and ive already searched for answers to this question here - couldnt find an answer. So i just got my gh4 and am learning all the ins and outs of it. One big question i have is, aside from accessing the c4k setting in the quality menu, does it really matter what system frequency i use? Im asking because the only setting in which my 7" lilliput monitor will work is 50hz. Will the frequency affect the quality of the images or grading, editing on my macbook pro? Does the 24hz setting look more "cinematic" or is this just a label?

thanks!

You do need to set it to 24hz to use C4k, but I never personally use it. I almost never shoot a project exclusively with the GH4 and I'm not trying to deal with any of the issues that mixing 24 and 23.98 might introduce (sync problems, specifically). To me, the extra 200 pixels aren't worth it, especially when I'm usually delivering 16:9 anyways.
