GH2 pre purchase questions

hi.
i'm planing on buying the GH2 to shoot video.
i have few questions about the camera:
1. can the GH2 record both PAL fps (25P, 50i) and NTSC in 1080, or do they have two different models - one for PAL users and one for NTSC ?
2. is there a lens adaptor for micro 3/4 lens to mount on canon EOS bodies ?
3. who can i use canon EOS lens on the GH2 - will i'll be able using auto focus or change the aperture ?
4. what zoom lens recomended for video use? budget up to 1000$, doesn't have to be panasonic lens.

I recommend you to wait for the GH3 or next gen GH2, if you can wait.
Rumors has it that it will be announced in the next months (September/October)

1. i don't know
2. I'm not sure, i believe not since the m4/3 flange is shorter then canon
3. Expensive adapter with electronic "iris" control, AF does not work if i can recall, i recommend for filming to buy primes.
4. Zoom lenses in general are crap, unless you would like to spent alot of cash, the kit lens is "OK" but does not have a fixed aperature, zooming will cause your f-stop to change during filming making it darker.

Re 1: All hacks will open a switch for choosing PAL or NTSC... you don't necessarily need to increase the bitrate etc, but can just tick the switch and whatever other features you'd like...

The adapter that most use to mount EOS lenses on m43 bodies is the Kiron.  It has it's own built-in aperture that you use instead of the lens aperture.  You still cannot AF, but MF is the way to go anyway, so it's not such a big deal.

There's tons of great MF lenses available on the used market, Nikkor, m43, Zeiss, Canon FD, so there is almost no reason to go with a solution like above, but if you own Canon EF lenses, the Kiron adapter is a popular option.
