Quirky Posted September 12, 2014 Share Posted September 12, 2014 Hmm, a super 35mm 10 bit 4.2.2 XAVC Intra 2k/4k, 180fps in HD and 60 fps in 4K onto XQD cards, E-mount, reasonably sized body you can use without a rig or shoulder mount, too, yes, I think I call that an interesting camera. But with $8k body only, I'm afraid it's a bit above my current pay grade. But interesting nonetheless. Hopefully there will be more cameras like this between the A7s/GH4 and this FS7. Oliver Daniel Posted September 13, 2014 Share Posted September 13, 2014 I'm going to have to find a way to get this camera. Hands down the best camera release I've seen since, ever. It would cover everything and I don't think I'd need to rent again for many years. I know people go on about Canon and Nikon, however I think there is still a gap/opportunity for Panasonic. What do they have between the GH4 and the new Varicam 35? It would be very interesting to see a response here too, what do you think? It's just a perfect investment to make money off right now. It will have a name, produce incredible results, and will not be obselete anytime soon. This is a money-machine for smart investors. Oliver Daniel Posted September 16, 2014 Share Posted September 16, 2014 The UK pricing has been announced at £5599 + VAT. The C300 is £3000 more. The C500 is £7000 more. I can't see the logic of purchasing any C-line camera now, unless you can't go without Canon colour science. People interested in buying the URSA tank/microwave I'd expect to save more money and get this. Sony are crazy. Loving them this year!
