I need help to choose the right microphone

I just bought the rode ntg2 based on reading around and a couple of friends' recommendation.  I haven't tested it yet but I have to do a shoot with it next week so am hoping it will do the job paired with a tascam dr60.

I did a days shooting with the tascam dr60 and rode ntg2 and it was fine.  The ntg2 was maybe a little bit quiet so I had to boost gain but overall it did really well picking up voice with a boom at about 3 ft away from the subject.

The dr60 was very useful - I used it to record two mics to L and R and then used the backup recording at 6db lower to the other stereo track.  It was easy to set up and worked really well - would definitely recommend it.

ME67 seems having more "open surface", is it similar to "wide lens" and "telephoto lens"?
