hello guys,
I came in possession of a beautiful anamorphic lens 16mm Hypergonar and I started doing the first experiments, but I use Final Cut Pro X and I have not found the old control "aspect ratio" as in FCP7.

From what I understand I have to interact on the parameters "Y" in the "distort" panel, but someone would know the exact values in pixels to use for an anamorphic 2x lens on a GH2?

From my brief remarks I think it's a 25px / 25px  / - 25px/ - 25px  / aka the sum of the old "100" aspect ratio ;)

Tips? This is correct?
thank you!

Px stands for pixels, minus -25 pixels isn't enough to achieve the correct aspect ratio.

I don't use FCPX so guessing here - Try changing px to % and putting 25% top and bottom

If you can't do it by percentages it should be px -270 top and bottom for 1080p source footage (to get 1920x540).

If none of this works with the Distort function, try a different one like scale. Distort looks like it might not be the right one judging from the screen grab!

I did some tests, in particular, I converted a video with Final Cut Pro 7 using the value "100" to get the correct aspect ratio and then I imported this video on FCPX and I have another video cropped superimposed on top of the "correct".

I can confirm that the correct size value on FCPX for anamorphic video files 2X of "Y" are 25 / 25 / -25 / -25.

Andrew, thank you for the advice but unfortunately the values are very high and 270 pixels etc do not match.
