In the main, I am a stills photographer who supplies people such as Getty Images work on a regular basis. But I want to expand my field into providing small film clips; time lapse and hyper lapse. With the latter, and I don't know if it fits here, I understand the technique of moving the camera around a central point but it's when it comes to the cameraman moving in that I am getting lost. If you are walking towards a subject that is 100 metres away how do you maintain focus? I'm guessing since he's working with wides and fisheye lenses, he could just set the lens at hyperfocal distance, and everything from a few inches to a couple feet to infinity would remain in focus.
