With that price drop, I think the Z Cam E2 M4 is now more appealing than the BMPCC4K which is now only marginally cheaper.

The free Resolve license is another factor in favour of the P4K.

Would be nice to have the option of the P4K being in that form factor though.

Absolutely. for me having an office, it was a big deal to have the license.

Also Braw starts becoming something of a mainstream option.

So, the price is even lower in reality.

@IronFilm

yes, because that is why the Z lower their prices also!

and, is it the dual ISO sensor? I ask because I do not remember.

because without that feature, I would never have bought a m43 camera, the noise even in low ISO was too much for me, with the 3200 is just incredible and no problem against bigger sensored cameras. 3200 is the max I shoot anyway.

To shoot Prores Raw you need an additional buy, and extra cost. I remember reading the Z raw being not as good at the moment.

I am considering Z-Cam E2-series for a new VR rig. I know they also produce dedicated VR cameras, but the ZCam E2 ticks so many boxes:

-60fps

-high dynamic range (Log/Raw)

-high resolution

-4:3 aspect ratio (Useful for VR)

-sync

-ability to adjust interocular distance (By being 2 units instead of 1)

My main gripe is that they are physically a bit wide (91mm), which makes the minimum interocular distance quite large. It's also too bad that only the original E2 has the ability to sync.

The Z-Cam E2 and E2-M4: Native ISO: 500 / 2500 ( http://www.z-cam.com/e2/ http://www.z-cam.com/e2-m4/)

The full frame Z-Cam E2-F6: Dual Native ISO: 400 / 2500 ( http://www.z-cam.com/e2-f6/ )

so it isn't the same sensor as the P4K/GH5S, which is a huge minus for me.

Do you know in what other camera the E2 sensor is used? maybe GH5? for me GH5 presents noise for very low ISO, a workhorse of a camera, but the reason I didn't buy one was that.

E2 (and I presume E2 M4) is assumed to share the "same" sensor as in the GH5S and BMPCC4K

Does this also apply to the E2c? I can't see anywhere that it does.

That's already very inexpensive for what it is - cheapest 4k raw camera available (I think)

I guess technically not completely 100% price drops across the board, E2C seems to be excluded and is remaining the same.

Cheaper than an X-T3 at launch.

Bargain alert!

Much more capable specs than the Pocket 6K.

Don't forget the cost of the screen and cage though.

If this happened at the releasedate I would have ordered a F6. But now I am glad I didnt, there is almost no good footage out yet.

+ the R5 or R6 might be crazy good. (as the 5D III ML RAW, is still one of my fav images, only DR and slowmotion options were limited)

You could skip the cage, and just use your own phone as a screen. (or a cheap sub $200 monitor. Many people use an external monitor with their BMPCC4K anyway)

WOW! The M4 is the swiss army knife of E2's - and I love how aggressive the Zcam team is adding features and options. They have the E-ND mount, m43, EF and so on - plus they're introducing their own speedbooster. At $1500 this is seriously tempting.

They are going hard in making sure there are lots of accessories too!
