- G4K has focus peaking
- There is an attachable XLR adapter
- H264 codec all intra that give 422 color all intra in 100 mbps. To record this you will need to buy the new P2 Micro card in SD shape made by Panasonic (see image on top)
- it will be switch-able from 4K and 1080P with various frame rates (can shoot 120fps at 1080P for example)

I hope that it would also be PAL/NTSC switchable !  (Is there by the way 4k PAL/NTSC ?) It would be very odd if europeans could not do 30P youtube 4k productions.

4:2:2 10bit + 4k + 120fps 1080p + other features mentioned + < 2,000 = huge hit if true.

Lets hope 4K and 120fps are 4:2:2 10bit but I doubt it, maybe with external recorder.

 

Oh btw, it might be sub 2000$ but look at the cards:

Wasn't expecting 120fps at 4k, just 1080p, which would still be great.

 

Had seen earlier that it would offer 8 and 10 bit output... only assumed 4:2:2 would be for 10bit

Looks to be a great camera and a bigger step forward in the market than what any of the other guys are doing, so let's give Panasonic some welcome accolades.

 

This'll only help keep things evolving in a positive way.

 

Awesome time to be a film maker 'kuz it can be done so well for so cheap; really nothing technologically substantial getting in the way between ideas and fruition.
